SWING Golf are delighted to be a contributing sponsor at this week’s Invited Champions Classic at Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina.

Invited’s Champions Classic is an annual tournament for their member base with 42 teams, consisting of an Invited PGA Professional or Club Representative and four adult amateur members.

Invited owns and operates over 200 country clubs, golf clubs, city clubs, and stadium clubs throughout the United States and Mexico so this is terrific opportunity to promote Ireland to an eager audience .

As part of our partnership agreement with the Middle Atlantic Section, PGA of America we were delighted to be one of the title sponsor of their 2024 Northern Chapter Meeting & Pro-Pro tournament that took place at Maryland Golf and Country Club on September 3rd . It was great to be able to attend the event and do a presentation to the members about the joys that await them on a golf trip to South West Ireland and Ireland in general . Well done to our client Dave King of Carolina Country Club who hit a hole-in-one on the #13 Dooks Golf Links while on a tour with us recently . Dave was part of the Tim Beyrer group who enjoyed a great week in the South West which also took them to Dromoland Castle Golf Club, Waterville Links, Tralee Golf Links, Killarney Golf & Fishing Club & Ballybunion Golf Club .

America's Xander Schauffele has won the 152nd Open Championship. He ended up on 9-under-par after 4 rounds at Royal Troon after a final round of score of 65.

2019 Open Champion, Shane Lowry finished 6th with a final score of 4-under-par, following a disappointing score of 77 on Saturday.

This is Schauffele’s 2nd Major Championship in 3 months, after previously winning the PGA championship in Valhalla where he finished with a major record final round score of 21-under par.

Of the other Irish players who made it to the weekend, Padraig Harrington finished up on 4-over-par, tied for 22nd while Tom McKibbin was 12-over with Darren Clarke 15-over-par. 🏌 🏆 🇮🇪

Padraig Harrington has made it three titles in a row after winning the Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En-Joie in New York.

Two weeks on from his induction to the Hall of Fame, Harrington had a final round score of 68 to beat former master’s winner Mike Weir by one stroke.

He recorded an eagle on the par-5 third hole and birdies on six, eight, nine and fifteen. Bogeys came at four and ten, but the highlight of his tournament was sinking a putt from 70 feet.

It was his second win of the season after coming out on top at the Hoag Classic in March 🏌🏆 🇮🇪

A massive congratulations to Padraig Harrington who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame on Monday the 10th of June at Pinehurst, North Carolina.

During his acceptance speech Harrington described the sense of satisfaction he felt from his induction and gave insight into his journey as a pro, paying tribute to his long-term caddie Ronan Flood.
Padraig was presented with his hall of fame plaque by his son Paddy.

The three-time major winner is the third Irish player to be inducted following in the footsteps of Joe Carr and Christy O’Connor Snr. 🇮🇪 🏆🏌
