Just to let our customers know, the National Transport Authority have issued the following update information :

"As a result of the planned withdrawal of Suirway operated bus Routes 608, 609, 610 and 611 Transport for Ireland is introducing two new bus routes in the Waterford area from November 1st

Route 358, operated by TFI Local Link, will run 4 daily services each way Monday to Sunday linking Waterford City to Passage East, Dunmore East and Tramore.

Route 354, operated by Bus Éireann, will run 7 daily services Monday to Sunday, each way between Dunmore East, Waterford City Centre and Portlaw.

With reduced fares, see where cleaner greener cheaper travel will take you.

We have a wallet found on the Public service bus last night. It holds quite a lot of cards etc that would be difficult to replace. If anyone knows this person you might let him know we have the wallet. Hoping we can reunite them Soon. Thanks everyone.

NTA: Replacing soon-to-end Waterford bus service a 'high priority'

The National Transport Authority has said that replacing a rural bus service in Co Waterford which is about to end is a "high priority".

Suirway Bus Company to cease offering public transport services.

Suirway wish to advise that they will cease operating public transport bus services after October 31st 2022.

Suirway currently operate routes from Waterford city serving Dunmore East, Portlaw and Passage East.

Suirway have operated these routes for many years under License from The Department of Transport and have given a dedicated service to the local community since 1899.

Suirway have notified the National Transport Authority and have requested local TD’s and Councillors to engage with the NTA to ensure State funded replacement services are put in place as soon as is possible.

Following a prolonged period of extremely difficult trading since the onset of Covid-19 the Company has experienced reduced passenger footfall.

Unfortunately it is no longer possible for Suirway to operate these routes on a commercial basis.

Other contributory factors including the national transport policy landscape, sustainability strategies and global events have led to the withdrawal of services.

Suirway regret any inconvenience caused to our Clients and wish to thank all our Customers for their valued support over the last 123 years.

FARE ADJUSTMENTS FROM 29th AUGUST 2022

Suirway Bus & Coach Services Ltd is introducing a range of new fares from Monday August 29th, 2022.
A decision has been taken to increase a Standard single fare on our following routes, Waterford to Dunmore Route 611, Waterford to Porlaw Route 609 & Waterford to Passage East Route 608.

We have held off on making this difficult decision for as long as possible but with the continued increase in fuel and operating costs this fare increase must now be introduced.

Commuter Bus Services Update

Hi Everyone,

Hi Everyone, Met Eireann has issued a RED severe weather warning for WIND for Waterford, Presently this is valid from Friday 18/02/2022 @ 7am until Friday 18/02/2022 @ 11am. Services will not run during these times !! We will keep you updated when we know more! Apoligies for any inconvience caused.

Route 611 Dunmore East / Waterford Summer Bus Timetable starts from today July 1st up to August 31st 2021.
Services operate 7 days per week with services up to 20.00 Sunday to Friday and up to midnight on Saturdays.
We collect at all bus stops on the Dunmore Road.
