This is the sleepy little village of Estoi, in southern Portugal. With a population of only 3,500 or so, it retains much of its old-world charm. The historic center has a 19th-century palace featuring a lovely garden and famous azulejo tiles. This little church was built in the 15-century but destroyed in the great earthquake of 1755 and restored in a neoclassical style. Nearby we spotted a sign for the Roman Ruins of Milreu and stopped to have a look. Terry Coles, Portugal Correspondent, International Living.
A weekend trip to the seaside town of Sanary-sur-Mer, south of France🇫🇷
It’s not as warm as winter in California (my home state), but a little bit of change - and a few seaside glasses of rosé - suits us just fine.

Inside a Portuguese gym
When we first moved to Portugal and lived on the Silver Coast, we joined a gym and made friends with many expats. Now we live in the Algarve and this is a short video of our gym here. A gym is a great place to meet people, both Portuguese and other expats. Not to mention a great way to keep fit and active as we age. The gym is empty because we go mid-day when less people are there and today we had the whole place to ourselves. Terry Coles, IL Portugal Correspondent

These cow bells signal that the Festa di Sant'Antonio will be starting soon. They go all over town to spread the word. I will be going LIVE this evening to show you some the rural traditions for this grande festa, so tune in! - Valerie, Italy Correspondent
The "Little Venice" nobody knows about
That time I got to take a canal ride (but wasn't in Venice!) There are always fabulous places to explore that are off the radar!
