De La Salle Trad Club - Lochlann, Ed and Killian with Mr. O'Brien - and guests Ellen and Kate, who performed for the students in 1st Year Music in the Chapel as part of Seachtain na nGaeilge. The group then made the short trip to St. Declan's NS to give a workshop on Irish instruments, as well as another performance.
Well done to our Under-19 soccer team who reached the Munster Final today, defeating a determined Glanmire Community College on penalties. Neither side could find a winner following Ben Walshe's calmly taken second-half equaliser, but Ben Hennessy thankfully hit the winner in the shootout.
Our Under-14 panel were in the Sports Hall this morning - the midterm couldn't stop them from doing a bit of stickwork! Fair play lads!

Tonight the curtain comes down on this year's musical - one of the most special weeks of the year in De La Salle College. The cast, crew and production team have worked arduously in recent weeks and months, and it has been fantastic to see their effort and dedication result in a truly excellent show. Last week Fr. Pablo brought a glove worn by Padre Pio to our school Chapel. Fr. Dominic gave the students a short talk on the stigmata of Padre Pio and each student had the opportunity to get a blessing if they wished. Below is footage of our 6th Years prior to their blessing.
What a hit to cap a great performance in the middle of the park from Romeo, as Ireland pick up three points in their European Championship group. Jason made a great save early on to keep Ireland level against Wales, and sprinted the length of the field to celebrate with his Waterford FC teammate after this goal. Alan Cawley has been purring about their performances all game, and going on the amount of close-up shots of Romeo, the cameraman reckons he's the Man of the Match! Well done lads!
A perfect set of penalties from Sean, Hugh and Vavrik at the blitz for De La Salle schools in Ireland yesterday. Goalkeeper Rob Kearney - fresh from his All Ireland success with Tramore last weekend - made a big save to send the lads through to the Shield Final.
What's also great to see at the end of the clip is 1st Year Cian O'Farrell head straight towards the young Belfast team to commiserate with them afterwards.
Here's the lads from the Senior Choir performing their award-winning song for the staff today. The lads won the Sing Trophy - awarded for best piece performed by any school choir - during the two-day Cork International Choral Festival competition, as well as 2nd prize in the Equal Voices Competition for Post-Primary Schools.
Our Senior Choir enjoyed a fantastic trip to Cork yesterday for the Cork International Choral Festival. The lads won the Sing Trophy which is awarded for best piece performed by any school choir during the two-day competition, and also came 2nd in the Equal Voices Competition for Post-Primary Schools, earning a certificate of excellence.
This morning the Choir were invited to the Staff Room as part of a wellbeing initiative, and performed their winning number, but not before a surprise rendition of Happy Birthday for Br. Ben!
