The world’s oldest lighthouse will offer spooky lantern-led tours on two evenings to celebrate Halloween.
On October 29 and 30 guests will have the opportunity to learn about the history of Hook Lighthouse in a unique way.
This special event will give guests a nighttime view of the graveyard of 1,000 ships, while the tower (complete with 115 steps) is invaded by a host of characters who will scare you before reaching the top.
There are three timeslots available – 6 pm, 6.30pm and 7pm for adults and children over 12, with tickets costing just €10.

This OCTOBER 29TH AND 30TH Venture into the DARKNESS as you ascend the 115 steps of Hook Lighthouse amid the graveyard of 1,000 ships, explore the original keepers’ quarters and learn about the Ghostly tales behind the Lighthouse and its grounds including the paranormal experiences of previous guests and staff on a Special ghastly lantern-lead Halloween tour.

These tours are only for those who like the ghoulish and ‘sphooky’ & will be on offer at 6pm, 6.30pm, and 7pm for 2 nights only!

CULTURE NIGHT is on the horizon...
On Friday, September 20th, 2024 - Hook Lighthouse will be offering FREE places on our tours.
The 800-year-old lighthouse will remain open extra late and offer free guided tours of the medieval tower at 5.30 pm and 6 pm – the free places on these tours will be allocated to those who visit on the evening on a first come first serve basis.

August 25th 2024
Take the Summer season to a close at Hook Lighthouse. Squeeze the last out of summer at the beautiful Hook Lighthouse, free on-site playground, Eco Education Station and Maritime exhibitions. Join some art workshops for kids with our Resident artist Rose and join in our lawn games. The BBQ and pizza oven will be fired up and don’t miss the chance to enjoy a special tour of the lighthouse too!
Open 9.30 am to 5.30 pm - with last tours at 5 pm.
