This post is a couple of weeks late, but I'm very excited to share that all the hard work paid off!
During the beginning of the war I started bolting a small crag near my house, as a means of staying productive (and sane). Since tourism had been affected and work was incredibly slow, many days went into the effort to open the cliff to the public.
Nisan Vile A good friend and awesome guide told me about a friend of his who had sadly fallen on the first week of the war , suggested I give a name to one of the routes in his memory.
And that's how we got the idea to name the entire sector after him.
"המצוק של יוני"
On the opening day, climbers came to get on the new routes. There was a moving ceremony that was held by his family and friends, as well as the inauguration of the sign.
Can't express how honored I am to have been a part of this, and we pray for better times.
Gratitudes to Tomer Berger for managing the event and to Extreme for providing the epic sign and coordination with the family.
