What a great experience for me, to have such a wonderful group all the way from Hotchkiss School in Lakeville Connecticut. I was so fortunate to guide students along with their amazing Hotchkiss teachers, and show them the very diverse Israel as part of the Worldstrides program, bringing the talented youth of America to see Israel from many angles, exploring my beautiful country for a fascinating nine days journey . I am gonna miss each one of you ❤

כפר ביקרתם פסטיבל סוכות במרומי הגליל התחתון, כפר מע'אר המקסים עם אנשיו המדהימים עם הלב הרחב שקיבלו את רבבות המטיילים בסבר פנים יפות. חווייה בהחלט ייחודית. נתראה בשמחות ולא לשכוח פסטיבל הזית תכף מגיע.... תתעדכנו

There is a direct connection between both places. On the one hand we see king Herod's palace which was built on the battle field where the weak Herods barely survived the iron fist of hashmonian ruler, Mathathias Antigonus. Three years after, Herods was crowned by the roman empire as a king of judea. On the other hand, in Bethlehem, not too far from Herodium, an order was giving by King Herods the Mad, "killing of the innocents", to kill all baby boys under two years of age. Joseph Marie and baby Jeasus managed to escape, they fled to Egypt and returned only when the mad king died.
