יורם נרי החל לעסוק בהדרכת טיולים בשנת 1988 כמדריך בבית ספר שדה איילון של החברה להגנת הטבע.

אהבתו לנופי הארץ, לסיפורי אתרים, ולבעיות באיכות הסביבה באו לידי ביטוי בתוכן הדרכותיו ובאופן הצגת הדברים בחן ובהומור.

עבודתו עם קהל תלמידים, מורים, חוגי מטיילים ומשפחות נפרסו על מסלולים בטבע ובעיר ובכל אזורי הארץ.

משנת 1990 יורם שימש כרכז הדרכה בבית ספר שדה איילון ועסק גם בהכשרת קבוצות מדריכים בידיעת הארץ.

כיום עובד יורם באופן עצמאי כמורה-דרך לאחר שהוסמך ע"י משרד התיירות.

את הכשרתו כמדריך טיולים שילב יורם עם לימודי תואר ראשון במדעי הרוח ובחברה והמשיך לתואר שני בחוג לציויליזציות ימיות באוניברסיטת חיפה
אותו סיים בשנת 1994.

A true pleasure to guide a team from the Italian fashion company, FURLA, in a “fast” 4-hour tour in the old city of Jerusalem. Ideal visitors who can enjoy the sights, sounds and taste of this city and get a basic understanding of the many cultures that one can meet in one city. Traveling today around the Sea of Galilee with George from Texas, a 3rd time repeat customer, to fulfill his desire to see more of Israel. Visiting the new (but still un-open) ancient Roman-Byzantine city of Hippos with its churches and the new (and open) site of Umm el-Qanatir where one can see a reconstructed synagogue, dated to the mid-5th - 8th centuries. Ending this long day at the picturesque artists' colony of Rosh Pinna. Looking forward for his 4th visit…..

With Mr. Xue and his wife in a full 8-hour walking tour in Jerusalem. We were lucky to see a Christian procession of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre with his es**rt guards, known as "Kavass", that still preserve the Ottoman Turkish tradition of the guardian service which es**rted foreign dignitaries and local notables in Jerusalem. Today they have only ceremonial role, but still very impressive to the occasional observer.

In the Old City of Jaffa, next to the water fountain at the entrance to the the Great Mosque of Jaffa. Describing in vivid colors, to the excellent group from kibbutz Kfar Menahem, the daily life in the early 19th century during the rule of Mahmoud Abu-Nabout, who rebuilt the mosque after much of Jaffa had been left in ruins by Napoleon’s 1799 invasion. My First 2022 tourists from abroad in a comprehensive sightseeing in old Jerusalem with two Portuguese business man from the fashion and accessories brand, PARFOIS. So satisfied to show these great curious travelers, one Muslim and the other Christian, that life in a multi-ethnic and heterogeneous dense place like old Jerusalem, is possible. The stones are carved with the city's history, and people will carve the future.

At the Sea of Galilee with a group from Mexico after 18 months without any tourists due to COVID. I was lucky to guide these wonderful people which are here on a professional training (with all the coronavirus vaccinations & red tape confirmation).
