Wadi Kelt
A wonder of water and abundance in the north of the Judean desert.

Red-fugees:
Refuge Calvary Chapel Huntington Beach at the magnificent Red Canyon, mountains of Eilat.
This outstanding canyon was created by a water stream that cut through the rocks, creating those spectacular twists and turns.
The upright walls are made out of Nubian-Sandstone which became red due to iron oxides.
What a perfect site for hikes and photography.

The breakout of the world pandamic cutted our last journey right at its middle back then in March 2020.

"Hoshana Rabbah", is the seventh day of Sukot (one of the Three Pilgrimage Festivals in ancient Judaism) and consider among the oldest Jewish holidays.
It takes place on the twenty-first of the Hebrew month "Tishrei", which is the first month of the calendar.
In fact, this day seals up the days of judgment and reckoning that started at the beginning of the new year.
The central celebration takes place in the plaza of the Western Wall, which was one of the retaining walls of the platform on which the temple sat.
The pilgrims bring with them the four species (plant species consecrated on the holiday) and conduct ceremonies simulating the work of the priests in the days when the Temple existed.
It is a holiday of gathering, drawing hearts, joy and prayer.

Introspection, atonement and compassion: Yom Kippur (day of atonement) is the holiest day in the Hebrew calendar.

This sacred day raises the values ​​of Jewish heritage, it concentrates on a personal and collective introspection, focusing on forgiveness, the ability to atone for sin and the importance of living in compassion.

Yom Kippur provides the key for opening a new chapter and accepting the fresh year as a clear blank page.

It is the tenth day of the new Jewish year and it completes a process of purification and spiritual repair.

Some call it "Doomsday" because one comes to confess and pray in front of the Creator of All, God Almighty.

**In the picture: "The Hurva" synagogue, located at the Jewish quarter in the old city of Jerusalem. "Hurva" means "dump" and it is so called because of the many times that the synagogue was rebuilt and restored after the destructions.
