This time of year, I recommend a drive to Tal Shachar through the moshav and out the back past the wheat and cotton fields and across the railroad tracks. There, you will come to a hill with the most incredible display of pink and white cyclamen flowers carpeting the forests. The hill is affectionately called Givat Rakefot or Cyclamen Hill. Stop first to get a picnic lunch at the Iza Pziza goat farm and cheese shop!

After a 5 day trek in the Negev Desert long ago on a camel named Jasmine, I perfected the "camel face". Come see the Negev, and maybe I'll show you my camel face?
