Have you heard of the Dead Sea in Israel? It's a pretty cool place! It's a saltwater lake that's famous for its high salinity levels, which means that it's so salty that hardly anything can live in it. That's why it's called the Dead Sea. But despite its harsh environment, it's actually a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.

One of the things that people love about the Dead Sea is that it's supposed to be really good for you. The water is full of minerals that are believed to have healing properties that can help with things like skin conditions, arthritis, and respiratory issues. And the mud around the lake is supposed to be great for your skin - it's supposed to help exfoliate and detoxify your skin.

But even if you're not into the whole therapeutic thing, the Dead Sea is still a pretty amazing sight to see. The contrast between the bright blue water and the surrounding desert is really striking. There are also some great hiking trails and nature reserves in the area that offer some incredible views.

Unfortunately, the Dead Sea is facing some pretty serious problems right now. The water level has dropped a lot in recent years, and it's shrinking really quickly. This is because of things like climate change and people taking water out of the lake for agriculture and mining. But people are working to try to fix these problems - they're building a canal to bring water from the Red Sea to replenish the lake.

So yeah, the Dead Sea is a really fascinating and unique place, but it's also facing some serious challenges that we need to address if we want it to stick around for future generations.
And don't forget the hat.

The old city is a treasure trove of gastronomy. It's easy to get lost in the labyrinthine streets and stumble upon some of the best food in town. The food in the old city is a reflection of its diverse cultural heritage, with influences from all over the middle east.

My favorite dish is Hummus, I had a lot of Hummus in my life, but in the old city it is if they took it to another level, each place has it's on flavor, so make sure to stop at a few places.

Another must-try dishes in the old city is the shawarma. This Levantine dish consists of meat cooked on a spit and then sliced thinly and served with vegetables, pickles, and a variety of sauces. You can find shawarma stalls on every street corner, and each one has its own unique twist on the classic dish.

Another popular dish in the old city is falafel. These crispy fried balls of ground chickpeas are served with tahini sauce and a variety of fresh vegetables. Quick and delicious snack.

Finally, no visit to the old city would be complete without trying some of the local sweets. The baklava and knafeh, are the best!

Overall, the food in the old city is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. Whether you're in the mood for something savory or sweet, there's something for everyone in this culinary wonderland. So next time you find yourself wandering the ancient streets of the old city, be sure to indulge in some of the delicious cuisine that this vibrant area has to offer.

Hey there, You know, when you think of Jerusalem, the first thing that comes to mind might be ancient history, religious significance and conflict. But let me tell you something, this city is so much more than that! As a person born and rise in Jerusalem, I can't help but view it through the lens of true local. So, come along with me as we explore Jerusalem - Shimon style!

First things first, let's talk about the food. Jerusalem has some of the best cuisine in the world, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a foodie. The food is a part of my tour, and it's cheap!

Now, let's talk about the sights. Of course, you can visit Jerusalem without a guide, but you'll miss 80% of the 'going on'. You'll feel like you're stepping back in time as you walk through the narrow streets and alleyways. And if you're a history buff, you'll love the ancient architecture and landmarks.

In addition, you might want to check out the Mahane Yehuda Market. This bustling market is filled with vendors. It's the perfect place to get lost in the crowd and experience the local culture. This is also a great place to visit afterdark cheking the nightlife.

Of course, we can't talk about Jerusalem without addressing the elephant in the room - the conflict. As much as we might wish it wasn't a part of the city's identity, it is. But that doesn't mean you should avoid it altogether. In fact, taking a tour in Jeruaslem can/and will give you a better understanding of the complex issues at play.

All in all, Jerusalem is a city full of contrasts and surprises. Whether you're a Seinfeld fan or not, you'll find plenty to love here.

Mount Olives, always fascinates me, large portion of the mountain is untouched, meaning I'm walking on the of giants! The olive trees on the picture are probably growing from the same pits of the same trees that grew here thousands of years ago. All you need to do is choose your path.

Within about 30 min drive from Jerusalem, you can fine yourself in the Judean desert looking over a 5th century monastery. Drive another 30 min you'll get to the Dead Sea/Jericho/Jordan River/or a Kibbutz.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem, built 2000 years ago as a platform to host the Jewish Temple and it's visitors, it was built as a part of the renovations made by king Herod's in Jerusalem. About 700 years later, Arab-Muslims invaded to Jerusalem and built the Dome of the Rock, roughly 1300 years later I took this picture. Not sure if it's the weather that day, or my new phone but it came out great.

Timna National Park, a 5000 years old copper mined, originally used by the Egyptian and later by king Solomon. Not one of my go to sites, but if driving to Eilat it's always on my list.
30min drive from Eilat, around 2 hours long visit, last time I drove there I sew (on the way) iron dome missiles launchers! What a sight!

It was a great opportunity for me touring Caesarea after so long, we saw a lot but the pick for me was watching this fisherman trying to catch a fish on stormy day in the harbour king Herod's built 2000 years ago, this is the same harbour Peter baptised the Roman Centurion Cornelius, and Paul was imprisoned for two years and then sent to Rome for his trial.

In addition you can see the Roman Aqueduct that was originally built by Herod, expanded by Hedrian, and renovated by the Crusaders.

Western Wall and the Dome of The Rock view from the Jewish quarter, the volume of sites and the impact it leaves on visitors is incredible! So within this small area you’ll be able to visit the City of David, connect to the Davidson Centre through an underground ongoing excavated tunnel, walk on the rampart, visit the Temple Mount, Western Wall, Kotel Tunnel tour and that’s without mentioning Mt. of Olives in the back of the picture, are you ready?
