Great news for kids living in Jerusalem!

The Municipality and the Israel Museum, Jerusalem have teamed up and are offering FREE entry to all kids (up to age 18) to the Israel Museum, all year, starting September 1.

All you have to do is to show them your parents ID cards, or your own if you have one.

The joint initiative, personally led by the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Lion, is aimed at making culture accessible to the city's children and teens.

They have some wonderful events, activities and exhibits. Here's a taste of what's on offer.

Running 731-meters, it's nearly twice as long as the one in Gush Etzion.

It starts at the Tayelet in Armon Hanatziv Promenade and overlooks the Old City, the City of David, and the Temple Mount.

Kliché is great fun for all the family! It's run by Liana Allon, a product designer and graduate of the Bezalel Art School who is also project coordinator at the Jerusalem Science Museum.

Summer is the perfect time to take Liana's 2 hour Sun Printing workshop. She'll teach you how to use cyanotype, a magical blue dye that is sensitive to the sun to create unique and beautifully printed products.

Liana's studio is at The Jerusalem House of Quality, an historic building with stunning views of the Old City.

Workshops start at 250 NIS (depending on the size of the group). All materials are provided, plus tea, coffee and light refreshments 😀
