Shalom hotel and Shalva center (above and below at Bayit VaGan, Jerusalem) remind me of Psalms 122 every time I pass by.
"Shalom" in Hebrew means Peace, and "Shalva" is Tranquility - here are the two together on one Jerusalem hillside.

"May there be peace in your wall, tranquility in your palaces" (Psalms 122:7)

This wonderful collection was handed over to Israel after the Six Day War of 1967. Not much has changed since, including typewriter notes, which could be original and are no doubt charming.
Even though a class of its own, not many visitors frequent this museum. Its location in East Jerusalem could be a part of it, or maybe it's the lack of parking and the outdated index sheets?
Anyway, some of the most impressive and important discoveries made in Israel are in this luxurious building with its splendid finds.
The calligraphy on the walls alone is worth the visit!

Yesterday evening I had a blast at "Kramim veTe'amim" Festival in Ramat Hanadiv, a wine festival with dozens of wineries from the Carmel area. Next to a few major commercial wineries (Binyamina, Tishbi, Carmel) there were many boutique wineries with wonderful stories: from hi-tech people with a passion for wine, to retired educators and drug rehabilitation leaders... and of course lots of excellent Israeli wine. That's why Wine Tours (Enotourism) are becoming a great way to get to know Israel and its many facets...
On the wine glasses that were given you can see the logo of the Rothschild Family, who own the grounds on which the festival was held. They are known as the builders of the Carmel Winery, largest winery of Israel, and of course as the owners of Château Lafite in France. As the Hebrew phrase goes, "Wine makes the heart happy". יין ישמח לבב אנוש
