Wonderful visitors from Swiss. They came to check out our Judea Experience accomodations and visited Drimia winery. We took them to Rujium el Chamri cave, supposedly one of the hiding places of King David in the ‘Maon wilderness’.

The ancient road upto the Hebron Hills. It was the ancient path from The Negev to Hebron and further North. According to the Biblical writings Abraham traveled here but also the twelve spies. The ancient roads were marked and improved with thresholds by the Romans. Jeremiah 6 used the example of the ancient paths. ‘ 16 Thus says the Lord, Stand on the roads, and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk there, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk there.’

Almost 1000 manuscripts or parts of manuscripts of Biblical books or sectarial texts. For archeologists, politicians an indisputable proof of Israeli presence in the land. One of the places in Israel which you can visit as usual is Nahal Arugot at Ein Gedi. The route is a bit different than before. Its an amazing site. What is one of the most exciting place to visit in Israel? I think it is Machpelah where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are buried with there wifes. King Herod built over 2000 years ago an enormous mausoleum over the caves to honor them. Its still there. Its the oldest and largest Jewish monument in the world. A giant testimony of our Biblical history. Although the Crusaders and Mamluks added their addings to the building, the original structure is still recognizable. Come and see it yourself.
