We at Sar-El Tours are saddened to hear of the passing of Reverend Dr. Paul Lee Tan, the founder of Paul Lee Tan Prophetic Ministries (PTPM), and the GRACE Christian ministries (Philippines) Church’s Founding Senior Pastor and School’s Senior Chaplain Emeritus. We have had the privilege of serving Reverend Tan, his daughter Dr. Christine Tan and son Rev. Stephen Tan along with the thousands of visitors they have brought to Israel on Biblical study tours over the past years.

Reverend Tan’s deep love for the Bible, insights into Biblical prophecy and the importance of Israel for the Church have positively influenced many Christians throughout the world. In addition to his Biblical teachings, Reverend Tan understood the need not only to “teach” the Bible but to live it out the words and principles of the scriptures in action and deeds.

We are very grateful for the years we have had to serve and get to know Reverend Tan and his family. We are sorry for the earthly loss and find comfort knowing that he is at peace as he has progressed from this world to eternal life in the presence of the Creator of the Universe who he faithfully served and worshipped so many years.

Today, we are blessed beyond words as we welcome our new grandson, Roee Anthony Futerman, son of Anaelle and Avishai.

Roee, whose name means “my Shepherd,” reminds us of the guiding presence of God in our lives. His arrival fills our hearts with hope of the days ahead, filled with laughter, learning, and love.

As we gathered for his Brit Milah, we were surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends. We look forward to watching Roee grow, to seeing the light he brings into the world.

May Roee be blessed with a life filled with peace, health, and happiness, and may he always know the warmth of family and the strength of faith.

🔍 Remarkable Discovery in Jerusalem!🔍

A fascinating piece of history has been unearthed near Jerusalem’s Southern Wall: a 2,700-year-old seal from the First Temple period. Inscribed in ancient Hebrew with the name “Yeho’azer, son of Hosheiyahu,” this artifact opens a window into Jerusalem’s ancient past.

The seal features an intricate design of a winged figure, possibly a king, draped in a long robe and crowned, echoing the artistic influences of Assyria that were prevalent in Judea at the time. This imagery not only served as a personal emblem but also likely conveyed a sense of authority and protection for its owner.

This rare find offers us a glimpse into the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Jerusalem, reminding us of the deep and diverse history that has shaped Israel for millennia.

Today, I explored serene spots hidden within the city’s busy streets, perfect for those seeking a moment of peace.

☕ Christ Church Café - Located within the oldest Protestant church in the Middle East, this café offers a peaceful retreat. The garden at the back is a serene spot with views of the historic Christ Church and its lush surroundings—a perfect place to relax and reflect.

🌳 Prayer Garden - Just past Christ Church, there’s a small, almost hidden, entrance in the wall that leads to a quiet prayer garden, available upon request. It’s hard to believe such a space exists in the midst of the bustling city. A true hidden sanctuary.

🥯 Jerusalem Bagels - These long, oval-shaped breads covered in sesame seeds are a local favorite. Derived from a smaller Middle Eastern cracker called Ka’ak, Jerusalem bagels are a must-try, often sold by street vendors throughout the city.

*’Why do you support Israel?*
I support Israel because it’s the right thing to do. The Jewish people were expelled from their homeland and lived in the diaspora for almost 2,000 years, yet they kept the dream of returning alive. The Balfour Declaration and the San Remo agreement laid the legal foundation for this to happen. Though it took too long, when the Jewish state was finally established in 1948, it was nothing short of a miracle—an act of God. Never before had an indigenous people returned to their homeland to re-establish their nation-state. It’s heartbreaking that Israel wasn’t available as a safe haven during the Holocaust. It’s also tragic that Israel has had to fight multiple wars to secure its land due to hostilities from neighboring Arab countries. To me, it’s clear that Israel has always sought peace, while its enemies seek its destruction. There’s also a spiritual dimension: Genesis 12:3 says, ‘I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.’ Naturally, I want to be among the blessed.’”
