A Group from Ethiopia and the USA is currently in Israel, touring the country and celebrating the Ethiopian holiday of Igret, also known as Ascension Day. This holiday, observed by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, commemorates the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven 40 days after his resurrection. It is a significant religious event marked by various traditional ceremonies, prayers, and festive gatherings. During their visit, the groups will participate in these special religious observances, enriching their cultural and spiritual experience. They will also explore historical and religious sites across Israel, further deepening their connection to their faith and heritage.

While there, Mr. Daniel Voiczek, CEO of Friends of Zion Museum, presented Pastor Gool with a gift in appreciation for her solidarity and support for Israel.

Imagine being able to leave a personal mark in the Holy Land. Pastor Marilyn Gool, who is touring Israel with a group from the USA, did just that to honor her late husband. At the Yardenit Baptism site on the shores of the Jordan River, she left a personal tribute. The Jordan River Living Stones wall is a unique and heartfelt mosaic crafted from individual ceramic tiles installed one by one. This inspiring display is created by cherished friends of Yardenit from around the world.

Each tile proudly bears the name of its donor. During a very emotional ceremony, Marilyn installed a tile in memory of her husband, Pastor Robyn Gool, who passed away a few years ago. Now, his personal mark is forever in the Holy Land.

Danny Amir, CEO of Vered Travel Group, and Daniele Waknine-Freche, director of the Africa department, have just finalized an agreement to organize a pilgrimage for 350 pilgrims from Senegal, which will take them to five countries: Italy, Israel, France, Spain, and Portugal. The journey is scheduled for August 2024 and will include visits to key pilgrimage sites such as Rome and the Vatican with an audience with Pope Francis, Lourdes in France, Santiago de Compostela in Spain, and Fatima in Portugal.
