It's been a while since my last post because I've been busy guiding various groups all over the country (well, almost—excluding the far north and far south). Here are a few pictures I gathered from my recent explorations.

Myiopsitta monachus, also known as the Quaker parrot, was brought to Israel around 20 years ago from South America. It escaped from the Tzapari (a kind of aviary zoo), which was once located in Tel Aviv. Although the Quaker parrot is well recognized in Israel, it is often mistaken for Psittacula krameri (known as "Drara" in Hebrew). The Quaker parrot is considered an invasive species in Israel. During this time of year, you can observe and hear it constructing its nest in the Poleg Nature Reserve.

I thoroughly enjoy the diversity inherent in my profession, particularly the range of subjects I get to guide. Recently, I had the pleasure of leading a unique two-day seminar tailored for teenagers with a passion for science. The aim was to provide them with a glimpse into the exciting prospects awaiting them in their future endeavors with science. During the seminar, we embarked on a fascinating journey, visiting notable sites such as the tomb of Paula and David Ben Gurion, the esteemed research institutes at Midreshet Ben Gurion, the Ashalim Solar Power Plant☀️, and Mitzpe Revivim, a historical agricultural 🍓 experiment site established during the British mandate era. Additionally, we explored the pioneering work at Ramat Negev R&D and indulged in the awe-inspiring activity of stargazing🌟⭐️ through powerful telescopes.

Our getaway to Eilat was a delight! 🌅Our Passover break was brief but packed with excitement over five days. We indulged in a variety of experiences, from leisurely pool dips to adrenaline-fueled adventures at Top94 Park. Exploring the mesmerizing underwater world of Eilat Coral Beach Nature Reserve through snorkeling was a highlight, as was the serene morning hike in Gishron Wadi. Of course, we squeezed in some shopping too.

Although we had hoped to catch the sunset from mount Berech, we left that for our next Eilat adventure in August. Until then, Eilat's charm will linger in our memories, beckoning us back for more unforgettable moments.

Yesterday, I had the honor of guiding a special private group tour to the stunning Carmel mountain to celebrate the 70th birthday of the mother of the family. Her husband and daughters surprised her with a private tour and a traditional Druze lunch. We took a leisurely 1.8 km walk from the lake park to the Carmel Disaster Memorial. The blooming flowers added to the beauty of our journey, and we even spotted a Daphnis nerii along the way! Check out the pictures below to see for yourself. 🌸🏞️🎉

Absolutely captivated by the Roman presence in Israel from 63 BCE to the 7th century CE! I went on a tour tracing the footsteps of Gallus, a Roman warlord, during his 66 CE expedition to quell the Jewish rebellion. Though much has faded with time, experiencing the journey and hearing the enthralling tales of the expedition was an absolute delight. Along the way, we were treated to breathtaking scenery and the vibrant blossoms characteristic of this season 🎋💐. Huge thanks to Ran Ortner for an incredibly enriching day!

Discovering the perfect Shabbat experience! Explore the magical Lupine Hill in Tel Shukha. While the ascent may be steep, it's brief, and the breathtaking views from the summit make it entirely worthwhile. Ascend the Israel trail to the summit, then continue along its path. Switch to the blue trail for a picturesque descent, completing the loop back to the parking lot via the jeep road. 🌄

Delighting in the joys of being a tour guide, there's nothing quite as fulfilling as guiding my parents through scenic walks and letting them revel in the breathtaking blossoms of the season.
