איזה יופי של פרח זה... מדהים איך בנובמבר הוא פורח בצורה כל כך מיוחדת – בלי גבעול, בלי עלים, רק פריחה צהובה ומרהיבה שמבצבצת ישר מתוך האדמה.

💡 החלמונית פורחת במדרונות של גבעות עם אדמת טרשים. כשנגמרת הפריחה, יוצאים עלים ירוקים שעושים פוטוסינתזה ומזינים את הבצל שבאדמה. כל האנרגיה נאגרת בבצל עד לעונה הבאה, וזה פשוט קסם של הטבע!

A Week in Eilat with Teens: The Ultimate Guide! ☀️
We just got back from the most amazing family vacation in Eilat! ❤️ We had so much fun, so I decided to share my tips with you:
• Flexibility: We left a few mornings free so the teens could choose what to do: shopping, swimming at the pool, or just sleeping in late.
• Adrenaline: Easy Rider tour at the camels farm was awesome! A challenge, fun, and lots of adrenaline. Suitable for teens over 16.
• Nature: A camel ride at sunset followed by variety of cheese and pita bread.
• Parks: Top 94 is always a top choice! Rope Park, climbing, and karting. We go back there every year.
• Sea: Snorkeling at Almog Beach or Princess Beach was amazing! The teens were less excited, so we (the parents) took advantage of the free mornings when they slept late and went snorkeling.
• Adventure: Hiking to Mount Solomon to see the sunrise was insane! (Important to leave very early and return before 8:30-9:00)
• Animals: A sunset tour at the "Hai Bar" wildlife park was nice.
• Water Park: Waterland in the afternoon was fun, but the lines were long. So we didn't get to do many slides, but it was really fun!
• Sand: The dunes in Kasuy, at sunset, are a must. We did it last year and the teens wanted to go back this year but we didn't have a free evening... Something to look forward to next year.

שבוע באילת עם מתבגרים: המדריך השלם! ☀️
חזרנו מחופשה משפחתית מושלמת באילת! ️ היה לנו כל כך כיף, אז החלטתי לשתף אתכם בכל הטיפים שלנו:
• גמישות: השארנו כמה בקרים פנויים כדי שהמתבגרים יוכלו לבחור מה לעשות: קניות באייס מול או בביג, בריכה או סתם לישון עד מאוחר/
• אקסטרים: טיול איזי ריידר בחוות הגמלים היה מעולה! אתגר, כיף והרבה אדרנלין. מתאים למתבגרים מעל גיל 16.
• טבע: טיול גמלים בשקיעה ובסיומו אירוח של גבינות ופיתות.
• פארקים: טופ 94 הוא תמיד בטופ! פארק חבלים, קירות טיפוס וקארטינג . אנחנו כל שנה חוזרים לשם.
• ים: שנירקול בחוף אלמוג או חוף הנסיכה היה חוויה מדהימה! המתבגרים פחות התלהבו, אז אנחנו ההורים ניצלנו את הבקרים שהם המשיכו לישון והלכנו לשנורקל בכיף.
• הרפתקה : טיפוס להר שלמה לראות את הזריחה, היה מטורף! (חשוב לצאת מוקדם מאוד ולחזור לפני 8:30-9:00)
• חיות: סיור שקיעה בחי בר היה נחמד.
• מים: ווטרלנד אחה"צ היה כיף, אבל התורים היו ארוכים. כך שלא מספיקים הרבה מגלשות, אבל היה כיף מאוד!
• חול: הדיונות בחולות כסוי, בשקיעה, הן חובה. עשינו את זה שנה שעברה והמתבגרים רצו לחזור גם השנה אבל לא נשאר לנו ערב פנוי.... יש למה לצפות לשנה הבאה.

A little tip for hiking enthusiasts: Want to hike in the desert even in the summer? ☀️ Just get up early! The Rom Yizrach trail was perfect for an early start. 5.5 km of amazing views, fascinating animals, and challenging climbs and descents. Don't forget your hat, water, sunscreen, and plenty of energy!

☀️ גם בקיץ הקופח אפשר לטייל במדבר! מסלול רום-יזרח הוכיח שעם קצת תכנון (ולקום מוקדם!) אפשר להנות מכל רגע. התחלנו את היום עם אור ראשון ופגשנו את החברים הכי טובים של המדבר: יעלים, שפני סלע, ואפילו תן! המסלול עצמו היה אתגר מהנה, עם 2 עליות וגם ירידות בין בולדרים שהכניסו עניין למסלול. ‍מה דעתכם על טיולים מוקדמים במדבר? יש לכם המלצות למסלולים נוספים?

חם בחוץ? לא בעיה! ☀️ יצאתי בשעת בוקר מוקדמת לטיול מהמם לאורך נחל שורק. חול, שמש, נופים מדהימים ועקבות של חיות בר, אפילו זיהיתי (אני מקווה!) תן מרחוק! ואם חשבתם שכל הפרחים נרדמו בחום – תחשבו שוב! יש פרחים שהצליחו לשרוד את החום! מסלול מעגלי מושלם למי שמחפש קצת הרפתקה. רוצים להצטרף אליי בפעם הבאה?

"Too hot outside? No problem! ☀️ I went for an amazing early morning hike along the Sorek River. Sand between my toes, sun on my face, and stunning views around every corner. I even think I saw a sneaky Golden Jackal ! And guess what? Some pretty tough flowers are still blooming despite the heat. It was a great loop trail - perfect for those who love a little adventure. טיול משפחות מרענן במקורות הירקון! ☀️
אתמול הדרכתי טיול משפחות מעגלי קסום במקורות הירקון, בין טחנת אבו רבאח לבית לאה.
טיילנו לאורך הנחל בחלק הנקי שלו, השתכשכנו במים הקרירים ונהנינו מהטבע המרהיב שמסביב. ️
סיפרתי לילדים אגדות מרתקות על הצמחים שאנחנו פוגשים, והם הקשיבו מרותקים.
היה יום מושלם, חם אמנם, בכל זאת - חודש יולי, אבל הטבילה בירקון והצל של העצים עשו את כל ההבדל.

Refreshing Family Hike at the Yarkon River Headwaters! ☀️
Yesterday I guided a magical circular family hike at the Yarkon River Headwaters, between Abu Rubah Mill and Beit Leah.
We walked along the stream, splashed in the cool water, and enjoyed the stunning nature around us. ️
I told the children fascinating stories about the plants we met, and they listened with rapt attention.
It was a perfect day, hot as July can be, but the dip in the Yarkon and the shade of the trees made all the difference.

Myiopsitta monachus, also known as the Quaker parrot, was brought to Israel around 20 years ago from South America. It escaped from the Tzapari (a kind of aviary zoo), which was once located in Tel Aviv. Although the Quaker parrot is well recognized in Israel, it is often mistaken for Psittacula krameri (known as "Drara" in Hebrew). The Quaker parrot is considered an invasive species in Israel. During this time of year, you can observe and hear it constructing its nest in the Poleg Nature Reserve.

I thoroughly enjoy the diversity inherent in my profession, particularly the range of subjects I get to guide. Recently, I had the pleasure of leading a unique two-day seminar tailored for teenagers with a passion for science. The aim was to provide them with a glimpse into the exciting prospects awaiting them in their future endeavors with science. During the seminar, we embarked on a fascinating journey, visiting notable sites such as the tomb of Paula and David Ben Gurion, the esteemed research institutes at Midreshet Ben Gurion, the Ashalim Solar Power Plant☀️, and Mitzpe Revivim, a historical agricultural 🍓 experiment site established during the British mandate era. Additionally, we explored the pioneering work at Ramat Negev R&D and indulged in the awe-inspiring activity of stargazing🌟⭐️ through powerful telescopes.

Our getaway to Eilat was a delight! 🌅Our Passover break was brief but packed with excitement over five days. We indulged in a variety of experiences, from leisurely pool dips to adrenaline-fueled adventures at Top94 Park. Exploring the mesmerizing underwater world of Eilat Coral Beach Nature Reserve through snorkeling was a highlight, as was the serene morning hike in Gishron Wadi. Of course, we squeezed in some shopping too.

Although we had hoped to catch the sunset from mount Berech, we left that for our next Eilat adventure in August. Until then, Eilat's charm will linger in our memories, beckoning us back for more unforgettable moments.
