Yalla Israel Adventures is devastated to announce the tragic death of Sgt. Major David Schwartz הי״ד, who fell in battle defending Am Yisrael. David was the loving husband of Meital Gitler, son-in-law of Leelah and Joseph Gitler . We will forever miss this beautiful and gentle soul. 💔

Yalla Israel is devastated at the tragic loss of רב סרן Aryeh Shlomo Ziering, z”l, son of our Debbie and Mark Ziering, who fell in battle protecting the people and land of israel.
Aryeh was beloved and admired by his parents and siblings- Eli, Yonatan and Tal, his friends, and fellow soldiers. He was a role model of leadership, bravery and humility and will be remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visiting the beautiful and refreshing nachalim in northern Israel is always a great summer activity. Last year we did a short float in Nachal Hermon next to Sde Nechemia . This year we tried a different river , and floated about an hour and half on Nachal Snir / Hatzbani. Had to contend with many rafts along the way , but was great fun on a hot summer’s day !

1) Remain in the artists quarter and browse … or buy
2) Visit the remains of the Crusader fortress at the top of Tzfat ,a short walk with a spectacular view of the Kinneret and the Galil (paved walking paths and stairs)

Last night in an apartment in Rehavia Debby Ziering Markowitz, daughter of Holocaust survivor Herman Ziering z”l told his story to 30 college students. She was hosted by her niece, Herman’s granddaughter, Eli Ziering
The stories will not be forgotten.

Yalla Israel Adventures presents special March tiyul Druze Experience in the Carmel Mountains ⛰️

Monday, March 20th
10:00 - 18:30
Cost: 380 shekel

Leaving 🚌 from 99 Akiva (the west side of Akiva between Weizmann and HaEla streets in front of משתלת פרחי גבעת מאיר

We will begin the day at Ramat Hanadiv - the Baron de Rothchild’s gardens 🌷🌼 and burial tomb. There will be two options for either hike or walk . Debbie will be leading a moderate two hour hike 🥾through the fields and forest to the cliffs of חותם כרמל the most southern tip of the Carmel mountain ridge with incredible views of the Mediterranean. At the same time Leelah will lead a gentle walk 🚶‍♀️🚶through the Baron de Rothschild’s beautiful gardens, and discuss the adjacent Moshava of Zichron Yaakov.

Our next stop is the Muchraka where we’ll retell the story of Eliyahu and the prophets of Baal, and enjoy a magnificent view of the Mediterranean and Emek Yizrael.

The highlight of our day will be traveling to Usifiya for an authentic Druze hospitality experience (ארוחה בשרית עם תעודה כשרות של הרבנות )and learn about this unique Arab ethnic minority and their esoteric, mysterious religion.

This is a great opportunity so don’t miss out

Note: Hike involves some rock scrambling and steep descents
Walk is all on flat paths .

Yalla Israel Adventures presents special February tiyul Yalla Darom Adom 🌺

Monday, February 20th
8:00 -18:30
Cost: 375 shekel

Leaving from 99 Akiva (the west side of Akiva between Weizmann and HaEla streets in front of משתלת פרחי גבעת מאיר

Join us to see the blooming of Kalaniyot- red anemones 🌺 which carpet the magnificent rolling hills and badlands of the Northern Negev region .

First stop will be to the Old Nizanim-Woman of Valor Center to hear the story of Mira Ben Ari and the other brave Kibbutz members who fought the Egyptians in the War of Independence 🇮🇱

Next stop will be a photo-op at the “Path to Peace Wall” in the Gaza-Israel border town of Netiv Haasarah to learn about life in “Otef Aza”- “Gaza Envelope”

Then we’ll continue further south to Machlevat Tzela- a goat 🐐 cheese farm in the northern negev, for a tour of the farm and cheese 🧀 tasting. After the tour you may purchase lunch at the café (menu to follow- food is delicious and farm fresh!) or eat a home-packed lunch at the picnic tables.

Last stop: Bike 🚴 ride in Yaar Beeri. There is an option to do a walking 🚶‍♂️ trail instead . Bike rentals with a guided tour is included in the trip price, but if you wish to do a self guided walking trail you will get an 85 shekel discount on the tour price.
