All visa-exempt travelers must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before arriving in Israel. Without an ETA, entry will not be allowed. For More Information Visit the official Israel entry website: https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/

Passport Expiry Requirements
If You Need an Entry Visa: Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond arrival date.
If You Are Visa-Exempt and Need an ETA: Passport must be valid for 3 months beyond arrival date.

Have you ever seen a whole country take a pause?

In Israel, Yom Kippur is a day like no other. It’s the holiest day in the Jewish year, when the streets are empty, shops are closed, and the whole country stops to reflect and fast.

For 25 hours, starting at sunset and ending at nightfall the next day, there are no buses or trains, restaurants and stores stay shut, and you won’t even see cars on the roads. Instead, you’ll find families walking and kids riding bikes freely in the middle of normally busy streets. It’s a time when people focus on their thoughts and traditions, creating a peaceful and quiet atmosphere—a special experience for anyone who happens to be here.

If you’re planning a trip to Israel, it’s best to consider other dates if you’re looking for an active itinerary. Almost all tourist sites and restaurants will be closed, making it hard to explore.

But if you’re curious to see this side of Israeli culture and don’t mind the stillness, it can be a unique chance to witness a country in deep reflection. Just make sure to plan ahead for meals and activities!

So, when you plan your visit, check the Yom Kippur dates and decide what experience is right for you. Whether you choose to visit before, after, or even during, Israel has something special to offer.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, a unique natural wonder in the heart of the Negev Desert. Stretching 40 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide, this huge crater wasn’t formed by a volcano or a meteor but by millions of years of natural erosion. Even though it looks ancient, the crater is still revealing new surprises, from rare fossils and impressive rock formations to a wide variety of desert wildlife.

People have been drawn to this area for centuries, from ancient traders to today’s adventurers. If you’re looking for some excitement, you can explore the crater by hiking, taking a jeep tour, stargazing, or even trying rappelling down the cliffs. The Ramon Visitor Center at the crater’s edge offers a closer look at the incredible history and nature of this special place.

Did you know that Beit Shean was one of the leading cities of the Roman Empire?

Scythopolis was one of the cities of the Decapolis, a group of ten cities dominated by Greek and Roman culture.

Today, a walk through Beit Shean is a walk back in time. There is a lot to see from the well-maintained Roman amphitheatre, ancient public bath, and grand cardo with magnificent stone columns.

Now that is one interesting fact: the city was hit by a major earthquake in 749 AD, and most of its splendour stayed hidden until it got revealed again.

Beit Shean is also mentioned in the Bible in connection with King Saul’s final battle.

This ancient archaeological site, renowned for its captivating underground caves, offered us a unique glimpse into the past. Dating back to the Hellenistic period, these remarkable caves were used for various purposes, from olive oil production to burial sites.

We enjoyed a serene picnic under the starlit sky, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty and rich history of this extraordinary location.

The combination of historical wonder and tranquil surroundings made for an unforgettable experience.
