A must-see on any journey through the Holy Land is Mar Saba Monastery, located Deep in the desert, 20km drive east of Bethlehem reachable only by off-roading.

The view is breathtaking and is even more spectacular on night tour during full moon.

Please note:
Women can only view this phenomenal cliff-clinging monastery founded in 439 CE, from outside, but men are allowed inside.

Shakshouka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion and garlic, and commonly spiced with cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, nutmeg.....and always some extra special ingredients to make it authentic

Escaping the sun in the shades of Euphrates poplar grove in Ein Avdat.

A large and impressive concentration of Euphrates poplar trees, a tree that is most common in Israel along the Jordan River.

A walk through Ein Avdat National Park is breathtaking whole year round. Just make sure to take breaks and drink a lot of water.

We conquered the heat!

Last night we have enjoyed Bedouin feast and Bedouin stories around camp fire.
Tday we continued off roading in the desert, learned so much about life in the Negev. Had a BBQ in the middle of desert under the shade of trees and cooled down in the cold water of Ein Akev.

And all left with unforgettable memories.
