As the spies entered the land, carrying an 'eshkol' of grapes, fear overtook the people. While it was clear that the land was fertile and produced abundance, it also meant the Israelites would have to confront giants who could devour such an amount of food. It was a matter of fear vs faith. The same holds true today, as our enemies are mighty in numbers and size, but our faith and the fervor of our people, will once again persevere.
I wonder what kind of grapes these were? food for thought!

Our place in history unquestionable,
yet questioned all the time.
And so we look forward to another week,
grateful for this past Sabbath's wine.

As a lover of all things Wine and Israel, my loyalties are first and foremost to my neighbors, the vintners and grape growers of this sacred land. Israel produces some of the finest wines and it’s an honor to serve them on my tours and at tastings. This past year has certainly been a challenge for all of us caught up in this nightmare of a war. This has indeed been the case for my friends in the and regions of northern , who have struggled to maintain their businesses amidst the shelling and rockets that have devastated the north. And while we will one day tour and taste up north once again, sometimes the pallet also seeks out fruit from different fields and frontiers beyond the homeland.

And so a gift of a nice bottle of burgundy from guests, visiting from abroad, was a treat to my lips and a joy to celebrate. While I do not always agree with their politics, there is no doubt that the French must be celebrated for their winemaking abilities, and the culture of viticulture they have spread around the world.

Indeed, take a look at the map of France in order to appreciate just how well they have adapted the vines to the various microclimates that cover their rather delicious nation. There is no modern white culture without the heritage of the French tradition of excellence, and a rather delicious bottle reminded me that is part of who we are as a company. When we cannot travel in the physical sense, sometimes we can bring France to us with a taste of their outstanding winemaking talents.
I wish you all a shalom, and may you celebrate with family with friends, and hopefully with peace on the horizon.

There's nothing like a little trip back to the home country for a chance to indulge in some tasty treats. This port was calling to us and we responded in kind. For some, it's a sweet delight and for others it's simply cough syrup. How do you feel about Portugal famous beverage?

History can teach us 1001 things about human beings’ ability to ferment and ‘invent’ wine. Wine has been poured at banquet tables of kings from Persia to the Peloponnesians for millennia and has inspired poets and playwrights abound. Indeed, our relationship to these glorious grapes, is a mix between humans and nature, and the infinite potential when the two work in harmony.

While my curiosity looks back to history for inspiration and stories that teach us of the human spirit, along with a nice glass of Cabernet, I like to look forward to a fruitful future as well. Now it is the time of harvest and the labor of love must be carried out in the vineyards so that tomorrow we may drink well of the work we do today.

As the summer heat abates, and the fall harvest awaits, our tours are coming back online. I cannot wait to host my guests again, and raise a glass or two as we explore together, both the history of days gone by, and the mystery of what will be, for Israel’s bright future. Come walk with us!

Wine is there when we wish to celebrate
yet in these challenging times, we must focus on our children, and lead them onward, in the ways of our people.

So much more than a wine tour! Amir guided us through the streets and alleys of Zikron Yaakov with his vast knowledge of wine, historical facts, stories and surprises! He was engaging and entertaining, all while being considerate of our comfort (standing in shade, providing beverages, restroom stops). He chose an absolutely charming and delicious winery for us to enjoy tasting several wonderful wines. His timing and pace of the tour was perfect!

We look forward to touring with him again and highly recommend Amir.

Wine has been at the backbone of Israel’s modern culinary culture since the first Jewish communities planted vines in 1882. Likewise, King David brought the tribes together around 3000 years ago, and Wine provided a foundation for the cash crops that would allow for a kingdom to arise thereafter. Whether you’re at the Shabbat dinner table, or at one of the wine bars popping up around Israel, this beverage has been the backbone of our drinking culture, and whether we drink in celebration, and to enjoy, or from a place of sorrow and our current melancholy, this beverage, this grape, this wine lifestyle has been there throughout the long arch of Jewish history and culture.
A glass of wine, and Israel is so much more than just a simple pour. Here we toast life and drink to a heritage that goes back thousands of years.
Lchayim.

Raise a glass with us as we celebrate Israel’s birth, and honor the nation that rises to face the challenges our enemies throw at us. The Jewish people have survived for over three millennia, from slavery in Egypt to Hamas terror, and we have risen from the ashes, time and time again.
Our finest hours are still ahead.

Many blessings to the Hebrews and Shebrews
as we welcome the Passover holiday once again.
With wine in the glass
we toast to life
and celebrate new friends at the table.
As we wrestle with a sense of cheer in our heart,
and sorrow for their absence
for those in captivity we still mourn.

Let the freedom of the Passover
bring us into a brighter tomorrow.
