🌅 AN OUTDOOR FAMILY SUNSET EXPERIENCE 🌅

Come to the Kula Forest near Rosh Ha’ayin for Kabalat Shabbat in the heart of a magical forest. We will beat the heat and experience nature at the most beautiful time of the day. Together we'll learn the basics of navigation and the ancient skill of fire lighting. We will benefit from a connection to nature and the earth, acquire new skills, enjoy quality time with the family and start the weekend in the serenity of nature.

🧭 We'll start by building a compass from scratch and learn the basics of navigation.
💎With our new navigation skills, we will embark on a treasure hunt.
🔥We'l learn how to light a fire in survival conditions (no matches of course!!)
🌳 We will make delicious snacks, tea and coffee on the fire and enjoy the sunset.

✅ Workshop begins at 16:30
✅ The duration of the workshop is three hours.
✅ Suitable for children aged 5 and up.
✅ The workshop will be held in Hebrew

As COVID-19 keeps everyone indoors, nature starts to make a recovery 🏔 Like everyone, at Horizon Journeys, we can't wait to get back out there. But for now, we will have to bide our time and take comfort in the fact that nature will be waiting for us :-)

🌳🌲Experience a new way to celebrate Tu B'Shvat ! A fire lighting workshop and family picnic!

Do you want to celebrate Tu Bishvat in a different way? Come to the Kula Forest near Rosh Ha'ayin Forest to learn a fascinating and ancient skill that will emphasize to your child the importance of trees and also create a unique family experience.

You will learn about the principles of lighting a fire in survival conditions and enjoy the empowering experience of starting a fire with a fire survival tool. Using the fire you light, we will prepare tasty pita bread, tea and coffee. The workshop will take place in a beautiful green forest where you will benefit from a connection to the earth and nature, acquire a new skill and spend quality time with your family.

* This week Horizon Journeys had the pleasure of hosting 11 young girls for a Chanukah celebration in the outdoors*

🧭The girls learned the foundations of navigation and set out to hunt for the Chanukah treasure.
🔥They experienced firelighting in survival conditions and lit their campfire without matches.
😋They got their first taste of outdoor cooking skills
🌲And most of all they experienced a process of empowerment, new capabilities, a connection to nature and funnnnn!

Yesterday saw another successful session of our weekly Nature and Survival class for 4th graders in Hod Hasharon. This week, the young adventurers learned how to build a shelter using only natural materials. They also experienced lighting a fire using wet tinder. And of course, we ended the meet with something delicious cooked in the fire 😋

Nature once again proved itself a powerful tool for empowerment, the development of self-confidence and resilience as well as the fostering of positive group values. All our activities for children use nature as a vehicle for growth and achieving goals that build, strengthen and advance the participants.
