Shana Tovah - a good year to everyone! As of yesterday evening, we enter a new year according to the Jewish calendar. In biblical times, this is also known as the feast of the trumpets where Shofar is blasted. And in 10 days’ time, another holy day is approaching; it is called “Yom Kippur” (Day of Atonement). The current feast is a time of preparation for us to set ourselves apart from the daily routines, as we arrive to the most holy day of the year.
On Sunday, it’s the 9th of Av in the Hebrew month, also known as Tisha B’av. Annually on this day, the Jewish people will mourn and fast over the destruction of the First and Second Temple. But according to prophecy, all hope is not lost — One day in the near and coming future, we know that the messiah Yeshua (Jesus) himself will come to fulfill the prophecy of establishing the Third Temple, where mourning will turn into rejoicing and great celebration!
It was close to 40 degrees in the desert (you only imagine) but do join us this weekend on the road of Jericho from the comfort of your home(s).

Hyssop is mentioned in many parts of the Bible as a cleansing/purification plant. It’s also the plant used to make Za’atar, a spice commonly used in Israeli cuisine.
From nothing to something; from diaspora to the promised land. The state of Israel is young, but we are living in prophecy. The Jewish people were scattered all over the world for thousands of years. Now that we have a place to call home, we want to give thanks to our Lord Jesus for His faithfulness.
Interesting fact:
The Dead Sea scrolls were found in 1947, just few months before the state of Israel was established. It is the oldest manuscript of the Bible. The book of Ezekiel relating to the prophecy of Israel is among those manuscripts.
