UN security council resolution 1701 is a commitment taken up by the UN, Lebanon and Israel, guaranteed by the US and France. A UN force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) of 15,000 troops at the cost of many millions was set up. They all failed miserably. How can Israel take seriously any future commitments by the international community 17 years later, thousands of rockets, dozens killed including children, 80,000 displaces, towns and villages in ruins... it is now up to Israel to take control of its own security.
Proving once again, diplomacy can end the war when it is within the interest and the policy of the parties to the treaty. Otherwise, to end a war - you must win it.

France and the US are urging Israel to show restraint.
How much restraint, would the US show if a foreign power began stockpiling WMDs at its border? Well, we know the answer. The US went nuclear. What if a militia stronger than the Mexican army began attacking American towns across the boarder? How would France behave if a militia stronger than the Spanish army would begin attacking France over the Spanish border. Restraint? No. And would surely hold the government of Mexico and Spain to account. As they should. Israel has been showing remarkable restraint for decades. Those days are soon to be over.
As Churchill said: The world is choosing shame to avoid war. It will fail and receive both.

War on the northern front
Why is the media not telling you the truth? They are either scared or wilfully ignorant.
Thousands of rockets, missiles and suicide drones have been fired at Israel from Lebanon. Soon, very soon, Lebanon will pay the price for Hizbulllah and Iranian recklessness. It seems no one in the west has the fortitude to challenge Iran. When will terror groups be held to account for destroying the countries from which they operate?
Western media and leaders are either wilfully ignorant or too scared to tell you the truth. There is a new world order that is being set against the West. Ignoring it won’t make it go away, blaming it all on Israel will only make it worse.

Of the many lies told about Israel few are as big and ridiculous as the accusation of colonialism. Tonight, as we celebrate Shavuot (weeks, Pentecost) is a good opportunity for a reminder about the unbreakable bond between the People of Israel, God of Israel and the Land of Israel.

Israel haters around the world are scrambling to find fault in the operation that led to the rescue of four Israeli hostages held in Gaza. You can’t murder, rape and pillage, then kidnap civilians from a dance party, hold them against their will for 8 months, then complain when Israel rescues them… but I guess when you’re the worlds favourite victim - you can.
When speaking about this to friends, remember you won’t be able to bring them from their certainty to yours. But you can cast doubt by asking questions. The vilification and delegitimization of Israel requires lies. Asking questions helps expose those lies.
Big lie: Israel killed 200 civilians in rescuing 4 hostages.
No. This is false. I don’t know if the number 200 is correct. No one does. But I know for certain they were not all civilian. In fact my guess is that most of them were not. Civilians run away from a gun battle. They don’t scramble with RPGs and AK47 into flying bullets to kill Israeli soldiers. Who were those 200? Who was holding the hostages? Why were they in the civilian center to begin with? Is anyone in the media asking these questions?
Small lie: the hostages were “released”. They were certainly not. They were rescued, at a high cost. The life of a hero Arnon Zemora. May his memory be for a blessing.

On Oct. 7th 2023, at 6:29 AM hundreds of Palestinian Hamas terrorists mercilessly attacked the NOVA dance party taking place not far from the border.
364 beautiful souls were murdered. Many were raped and butchered. Bodies mutilated. Tied and executed. Pictures and videos of the atrocities sent by the murderers to the victims’ families using the victims own phone. At least 40 were abducted to Gaza.
We will never forget. And we will not allow evil to prevail.
The memorial exhibit at the expo in Tel Aviv is heartbreaking. But somehow also strengthened me. It underscores why we must fight and why we must win.
For love, for life, for freedom.
