Picture 2 (Now) - 75th Independence Day celebrations from the ramparts of Red Fort, in Delhi with Indian Flag flying high on August 15, 2022.

Built by Emperor Shahjahan between 1638—48, the Red Fort was converted into a British garrison after the 1857 First War of Independence. Since India’s Independence in 1947, each year on August 15, the Prime Minister of India addresses the nation from its ramparts.

The Red Fort is protected as a National Monument by ASI Delhi Circle and was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2007.

21 को ताज समेत सभी स्मारकों में निःशुल्क प्रवेश, योग दिवस के कार्यक्रम होंगे

आगरा,
भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस पर 21 जून को सभी स्मारकों को निःशुल्क रखने का निर्णय लिया है। ताजमहल व जिले के अन्य महत्वपूर्ण स्मारकों में इस दिन जनता को निःशुल्क प्रवेश दिया जायेगा।

यह जानकारी अधीक्षण पुरातत्वविद राजकुमार पटेल ने दी। उन्होंने बताया कि योग दिवस पर केंद्रीय स्तर पर पहली बार देश के सभी स्मारकों को निःशुल्क रखने का निर्णय लिया गया है। इस दौरान देश में एएसआई के तीस स्मारकों में योग दिवस के आयोजन किये जायेंगे। आगरा में एएसआई द्वारा एत्माद्दौला और आगरा किला में योग दिवस के आयोजन होंगे।

सुबह छह बजे से योग कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हो जायेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि केंद्रीय अल्पसंख्यक मंत्रालय के तत्वावधान में 21 जून को फतेहपुरसीकरी में योग दिवस का आयोजन होगा, जिसमें केंद्रीय मंत्री मुख्तार अब्बास नकवी भी मौजूद रहेंगे।

Jama Masjid at Agra also known as 'Friday Mosque' is a seventeenth-century structure and is one of the largest mosques built by the Mughals in India. Constructed under the reign of Shah Jahan in 1648, Jama Masjid is dedicated to his favorite daughter Jahan Ara Begum. This splendid monument is visible from the Agra Fort with the Agra Fort Railway station right between the two structures.

Anguri Bagh is a sprawling charbagh (four complex compartments) styled garden, centrally situated on the premises of Khas Mahal in Agra Fort. The final resting place of Mughal Emperor Akbar, Akbar's Tomb is situated in Sikandra, the outskirts of Agra, and spreads over an area of 119 acres. Built entirely out of sandstone and white marble, Emperor Akbar himself oversaw the construction of this tomb until his death.
