Thailand is steering an initiative for a joint-visa program with countries that together hosted about 70 million tourists last year as Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin ramps up initiatives to attract more long-haul and high-spending travelers.

Srettha — who’s pledged to elevate Thailand’s status as a tourism hotspot into an aviation and logistics hub — has discussed the Schengen-type visa idea with his counterparts in Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam in recent months. The facility is meant to ensure seamless mobility for travelers among the six neighboring countries.

Day 06 : Drive to Leh Via Chang La and Thiksey Monastery, Shey palace and Rancho school.

❌❌ STOP BUYING / SELLING GO FIRST TICKETS ❌❌

“Go First has been directed to stop booking and sale of tickets directly or indirectly, with immediate effect and until further orders,” DGCA said in a statement on Monday as it issued a second notice to the cash-strapped airline for the sudden cancellation of flights and failure to continue flight operations is a reliable manner.

“In view of the sudden cancellation of flights and initiation of corporate insolvency resolution process under IBC by Go Airlines (India) Limited (Go First), DGCA has issued a show cause notice to Go First under the relevant provisions of the Aircraft Rules, 1937, for their failure to continue the operation of the service in a safe, efficient and reliable manner.”

The regulator said it will decide if Go First should be allowed to operate flights on the basis of its reply to the notice. The airline has been given 15 days to respond to the notice and “further decision on the continuation of their Air Operators Certificate (AOC )will be taken on the basis of the reply submitted by them,” the statement said.

Great News for Tourism : The entire campaign will include over 200 events to underscore the city’s return, South China Morning Post reported as most of the half-million free air tickets will be distributed by Cathay Pacific Airways and its airline HK Express. Some will also be handed out by travel agencies to international tourists, the report said.

Nepal Plane Crash Live Updates:
All 72 people onboard, which included 68 passengers and 4 crew members, died after the Yeti airlines aircraft crashed between the old and new airports in the city, located in western Nepal, on Sunday morning. 53 Nepalis, 5 Indians, 4 Russians, One Irish, 2 Koreans, 1 Argentinian and a French national were on board, the airport authority said. The flight was en route from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The plane took off from Tribhuvan International Airport at 10:33 am today.
"A total of 68 passengers and four crew members were on board the Yeti airlines aircraft that crashed between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport," Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson of Yeti Airlines was quoted by The Kathmandu Post as saying. Our Prayers are with family members of onboard passengers.
