Aramness Gir presents a new Indian safari experience. This 18-room village-style lodge, entrenched in the local culture of Gujarat, is designed with authenticity and luxury in equal measure. Bordering on Sasan Gir National Park, you can spend your day in a plethora of ways: sunrise game drives into the park, jungle walks in the teak forest, visits to a Maldhari family in their home, sampling delicious Gujarati food, relaxing at the spa, engaging kids with inspiring activities at the Aramness Playscape, or even better, doing as little as possible whilst soaking up the natural beauty of the park as well as the lodge surroundings.

Conceptualised and designed by Nicholas Plewman Architects and Fox Browne Creative, the lodge design takes its inspiration from the characteristic local village, Haripur, with its central cobbled streets fringed with courtyard homes (kothis).

A royal palace of well-being
A beautiful 14th century fort, sensitively converted to become a Six Senses sanctuary of well-being. Originally owned by a Rajasthani Royal Family, it faces the Chauth ka Barwara Mandir temple. The significant conservation effort incorporates two palaces and two temples within the walled fort. The design reinterprets the gracious and regal ambience of a bygone era dating back 700 years.

There are 48 suites ranging from 753 square feet (70 square meters) to 3,014 square feet (280 square meters). The East Wing overlooks the countryside and the West Wing offers views to Barwara village and beyond. Each suite is designed in contemporary Rajasthani style, reinterpreting the fort's rich history while subtly incorporating state-of-the-art technology along with handmade mattresses, cotton bedding and all the fundamentals for a good night’s sleep.
