Kalika Mata is the main deity at the Kalika Mata temple in Champaner Pavagadh Archaeological site.

In the shrine, she is represented as a mukhwat (face).

To her left is Bahuchar Mata, a goddess of chastity and fertility. She is also the patron goddess for hijras (third gender). And to her right is Kali.

Kalika Mata temple, dating back to the 10th or 11th century, is an important pilgrim site in Gujarat. It is located inside the Champaner Pavagadh Archaeological park. It is on top of Pavagadh hill.

Winter time is undhiyu time! Undhiyu is a Gujarati specialty.

Different compotents are cooked at different stages, meaning it takes lots of time and effort. Starting from plucking and cleaning methi (fenugreek) leaves for muthia (fritters) to peeling different types of beans, peas and veggies.

Here is a Jain version with surti papdi (flat beans), tuvar papdi (fresh pigeon pea), raw banana and chillies. This is for both lunch and dinner today ❤.
