Happy Christmas from the GypsyArt Project and thank you so much to the lovely people who donated to make it possible! Every child has a new coat, socks and gloves (January in pushkar is really cold), we have new toys and blankets for the project, and we couldn't have done it without you guys, we had a lovely day and we are very grateful!

Big thanks today to Manish for this morning's yoga class, and to Des for stepping in last minute to run the English class and keeping cool when the children were being particularly over excited and chaotic! Also to our lovely teacher for being so kind and understanding as one of our older students is having some problems.
Today was the last day of school before Christmas, so we had biscuits and chocolate to celebrate and tomorrow we'll be making Christmas decorations ready for our big party on Sunday!

He was so sweet with the children and they really enjoyed their first yoga class. I've never seen them so peaceful!

Here are our good friends Shamu and Vinod transforming old tyres into seats so we can fit more people round the fire! We love recycling.
If anybody in Pushkar needs anything fixing then let us know because these are the guys to do it! They normally work in the market mending broken zips, stitching ripped bags, rejuvenating old shoes. Thank you Shamu and Vinod!

We have a new teacher for or tuition project, and 5 new students! Welcome to Rakesh, Aarti, Koyli, Lucky and Sanjay, and welcome back to Sanjina, Veer, Akhilesh and Santoli.
We stopped doing tuition last year after most of the students found sponsors to go to school, so it's lovely to have the children back in the building.
Here they are reciting numbers in English.
Many gypsy families don't send their children to school, they instead learn dancing and music at home with their families. But reading and writing is so important for everybody, so the afternoon tuition classes are really useful for these children.
We are looking for support for the project to cover the teacher's salary and school supplies for the children, so if anybody would like to donate please get in touch to find out how.
