Murudeshwar Temple located in the town of Murudeshwar, is a very popular tourist attraction in Karnataka. It is dedicated to Sri Lokankara. The temple has a 20-storied Gopuram which is iconic to South Indian style of architecture. The Gopuram is installed with a lift that gives a beautiful view to the world's second tallest Shiva statue (123 ft).
The story behind the name 'Murudeshwar' dates to the times of Ramayana.

The temple is surrounded on three sides by the Arabian Sea which gives a breathtaking view. The Murudeshwar beach is right next to the temple where people can enjoy water sports and also enjoy local dishes.

Location: Munnar, Kerala, India

Munnar is a picturesque hill station in Kerala, situated in the Western Ghats mountain range. It is one of the famous tourist attractions in Southern India and is a popular honeymoon destination.

Munnar is known for its Tea Plantations and Spice Gardens. The process of tea making is also shown and explained at the famous Tea Museum. Among other tourist points in Munnar is Mattupetty Dam, a concrete gravity dam built to reserve water for Hydroelectricity. One can also enjoy water sports here like boating and jet ski.

At a walking distance from the Dam, is the popular Echo Point. You can enjoy boating here as well. There are many stalls at the point which sell delicious home made chocolates and other local goodies.

There are also many National Parks and Reserves near Munnar which have unique flora and fauna and enchanting wildlife. Along with the tourist points and attractions, the journey to those is mesmerizing as well.

Goa is a coastal state in India, which has a lot of scenic places. One of these is the Harvalem Waterfall, which even though not as famous as the Dudhsagar Falls, is worth a visit during the monsoon.

The Harvalem Waterfall is also popular among film crews for shooting. The Harvalem/Pandava caves, basically rock cut hollows of the 5th century, are located near the waterfall.

Also, about 500 metres from the waterfall is the Rudreshwar temple and a recreation centre for tourists set by the Government of Goa.

One of the less explored places, this beautiful Shiva Temple is located in the scenic Mollem Wildlife Sanctuary. Built during the 13th Century AD, it reflects later Chalukyan and Hoysala architectural features.
From the temple, a 2kms walk in the woods takes you to the famous Tambdi Surla Waterfalls. This picturesque place is a must visit next time you are in Goa.
