The oldest river boat fiestas in India, the Aranmula Boat Race is happening in the first week of September this year. It is held near the Parthasarathy Temple of the Aranmula heritage village, Kerala. The Hornbill Festival provides a colourful mixture of dances, performances, crafts, parades, games, sports, food fairs and religious ceremonies.
