About:
Skandgiri, aka Kalavara Durga among the locals, is a beautiful hill town just 60km away Bangalore. Famous for trekking and sightseeing, this trails lies at an elevation of 1450 meters with 8 km long and moderate to high level difficult trails to the hill top.
People often spend the night under the stars at the hilltop which provides a splendid view of the surrounding hills.
Best Time: Any time during the year except rainy season.
Tips:
1. Carry enough water. No water source on the trails.
2. Equipped yourself with high ankle shoes with good grip.
3. for night trek take adequate lights and batteries.
4. Take warming clothes as sometime it may be felt quite cold with moderate winds.
