There is also a 500 mtr water canal similar to the one in Taj Mahal adorned with marble lotus and fountains. The rich collection of flaura here has some rare trees and plants. If there’s beauty in delapidation..this one it must be.. The Shettihalli rosary church standing above water during the summer months at the banks of the Hemavati river. Monsoon will soon find it engulfed in the waters of the dam (which I’m told would be a sight to behold ) For now it’s basking in sunlight while it gets attention from curious travellers and history buffs alike

This geological wonder just off the coast of Udupi…crystalline basaltic rock formations created millions of years ago due to volcanic eruptions. The island is blessed with white sandy beaches and swaying coconut trees.
There is more fascinating history to this place available on the net and at site..if only people can appreciate this and treat it with more tender loving care😏.

Upali bhurj or Upper at feels like walking into a ..just that it’s anything but a cake walk🤪😅

75 steep steps that brings you to an open top that houses one of the longest canons (I have ever seen). The burj built in 1584 AD by Adil Shah apparently took 5 years to build..but takes only a few minutes to scratch your name on the wall and claim it as yours😏. The bane of all historic sights in India.

When in a visit to the Soviet era metro and buildings is a must..after all it was completely under Soviet rule for over 100 years and Tashkent bears testimony to it.
Each metro station has its own theme..this one is at the Alisher Navoiy station named after the Uzbek poet who wrote the poem Laila Majnu..all the murals on the wall are from the epic tale.
