गड-किल्ल्यांवरील भ्रमंती आणि नियमन | Hill Fort - Hikes and Rules

गेली दोन वर्षे कोरोनामुळे साहसी पर्यटनावर अपरिहार्यपणे अनेक बंधने आलेली आहेत. हे संकट लवकर दूर होवो ही आपली सर्वांचीच इच्छा आहे. बंधने शिथिल होताच साहसी पर्यटन, विशेषतः दुर्गभ्रमंती अफाट प्रमाणात वाढल्याचेही दिसून आले आहे. साहजिकच त्यातील धोक्याचे प्रमाण वाढले आहे. पर्यटन खाते वगळता इतरही विविध खात्यांनी अनेक लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थळांवर सुरक्षेच्या कारणास्तव बंधने आणली आहेत. आपत्ती टाळण्यासाठी बंधने आणि सुरक्षिततेसाठी नियमन हे स्वतंत्र विषय आहेत. कुठलीही बंधनं आणण्यापूर्वी त्याचा तार्किक आणि शास्त्रीय दृष्टीनेच विचार व्हायला हवा.

ऑगस्ट २०२१ मधे महाराष्ट्र सरकारचे नवीन साहसी पर्यटन धोरण अस्तित्वात आले आहे. साहसी पर्यटनाला प्रोत्साहन देतानाच त्यातील सहभागींच्या सुरक्षेच्या विविध पैलूंचा या धोरणात विचार केला आहे. ही एक निश्चितच स्वागतार्ह सुरवात आहे. त्याच अनुषंगाने MAC तर्फे ‘गड-किल्ल्यांवरील भ्रमंती आणि नियमन’ या विषयावर परिसंवाद आयोजिण्यात येत आहे. समस्येचे गांभीर्य, नियम काय असावेत, त्याचे निकष, आणि हे नियमन करण्यातील अडचणी अशी या परिसंवादाची व्याप्ती असेल. इतिहास, पुरातत्त्व, पर्यावरण, गिर्यारोहण, पर्यटन यातील अनुभवी तज्ञ आणि ज्येष्ठ शासकीय अधिकाऱ्यांची या परिसंवादास उपस्थिती असेल.

महाराष्ट्र राज्याचे पर्यटन मंत्री मा. आदित्य ठाकरे ह्या परिसंवादाचे उद्घाटन करतील.

For the last two years, Covid has adversely affected adventure tourism. We all want this crisis to be resolved quickly. As soon as the restrictions have been relaxed, adventure tourism, especially hikes to hill forts in Sahyadri has witnessed a revival and boom. Consequently the risk (and ensuing accidents) have also increased. Apart from the Dept. of Tourism, various other departments have also imposed restrictions on many popular tourist destinations for reasons of safety. Regulation for restrictions and safety are separate subjects to prevent disasters. Before any restrictions are imposed, the situation must be studied logically and scientifically.

The new adventure tourism policy of the Maharashtra government has come into existence in August 2021. While promoting adventure tourism, the policy considers various regulations for the safety of participants. This is certainly a welcome start. A webinar on ‘Hill Fort - Hikes and Rules' is being organized by MAC. The scope of the seminar will be the seriousness of the problem, should rules be imposed, their criteria, and the difficulties in implementing the same. Subject matter experts as well as senior government officials from tourism, archaeology, environment and adventure will be present at the webinar.

Hon. Shri Aditya Thackeray, Tourism Minister for Maharastra, has kindly consented to inaugurate the webinar.
