According to Bengal District Gazetteer Khardah happens to be a favourite place of pilgrimage for Vaishnavas and they visit it more especially during the Rashyatra and Phuldol.The temple houses the idols of Radha Shyamsundar Jiu which happens to be carved out of the kastipathar. The idols of Shyamsundarji along with that of Ballavji and Nandadulalji are made out of the same stone.There is a story about the three Krishna idols. Apart from the story of Rudraram, there is another saying that Birbhadra Goswami after bringing the stone from the Sultan of Gaur reached Khardah and took the stone from the Ganges ghat at Khardaha. From then onwards that ghat came to be known as Shyam-er Ghat. With the help of a Vaisnav sculptor named Nayan, Birbhadra made three Krishna idols from the same stone. He named the idols as Radhaballav (Radhaballav Temple, Serampore), Shyamsundar and Nandadulal (Nandadulal Jiu Temple, Saibon). After the idol of Shyamsundar is prepared, Birbhadra established the same at the Sree Mandir at Kunjabati in Khardah and made preparations for daily worship.
বেঙ্গল ডিস্ট্রিক্ট গেজেটিয়ার অনুসারে খড়দহ বৈষ্ণবদের তীর্থস্থানের একটি প্রিয় স্থান এবং তারা বিশেষ করে রাসযাত্রা এবং দোলের সময় এটি পরিদর্শন করেন।মন্দিরে রাধা শ্যামসুন্দর জিউ-এর মূর্তি রয়েছে যা কোষ্টীপাথর থেকে খোদাই করা হয়েছে। বল্লভজি ও নন্দদুলালজির মূর্তি সহ শ্যামসুন্দরজির মূর্তি একই পাথর দিয়ে তৈরি।তিনটি কৃষ্ণ মূর্তি নিয়ে একটি গল্প আছে। রুদ্ররামের কাহিনি ছাড়াও আরেকটি প্রবাদ আছে যে, বীরভদ্র গোস্বামী গৌড়ের সুলতানের কাছ থেকে পাথর আনার পর খড়দহে পৌঁছে গঙ্গার ঘাট থেকে পাথরটি নিয়ে যান। এরপর থেকে ওই ঘাটটি শ্যামের ঘাট নামে পরিচিতি পায়। নয়ন নামে এক বৈষ্ণব ভাস্করের সাহায্যে বীরভদ্র একই পাথর থেকে তিনটি কৃষ্ণ মূর্তি তৈরি করেন। তিনি মূর্তিগুলোর নাম দিয়েছেন রাধাবল্লভ (রাধাবল্লভ মন্দির, শ্রীরামপুর), শ্যামসুন্দর এবং নন্দদুলাল (নন্দদুলাল জিউ মন্দির, সাইবন)। শ্যামসুন্দরের মূর্তি তৈরি হওয়ার পর, বীরভদ্র খড়দহের কুঞ্জবাটীর শ্রীমন্দিরে এটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন এবং নিত্য পূজার প্রস্তুতি নেন।

আসুন ঘুরে দেখি কুঞ্জবাটী, শ্রী রাধাশ্যামসুন্দর জীউ মন্দির এবং আশেপাশে।

নন্দদুলাল জিউ-এর সুন্দর আবাসন মন্দির পশ্চিমবঙ্গের উত্তর 24 পরগনা জেলার সাইবন বা সাইবোনা, খড়দহের বারাসাত ব্যারাকপুর রোডে অবস্থিত। সেখানে কাঠের সিংহাসনে নন্দদুলাল জিউ ও রাধারাণীর মূর্তি স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।
এখানে প্রতিদিন পূজা করা হয় এবং প্রধান উত্সব হল মাঘী পূর্ণিমা (সাধারণত প্রতি বছর জানুয়ারি বা ফেব্রুয়ারি মাসে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়) এবং দোলযাত্রা।
