Har ki Dun very famous trek of Uttarakhand. It is a cradled shaped valley situated below the Har ki Dun peak in the lap of Western Himalayas. One can see very closely Swargorohini Peak I, II and III. Feel the emotion.

I have been organising trekking for many years in Uttarakhand. Due to this, I have connected with so many people in different parts of India who really admire the Himalayas. Even many of the trekkers feel the Himalayas are their second home.
Today I share a feeling with you, which I usually feel after every trek ends with my trekker friends.

I see a trekker, like a married girl who feels the Himalayas like her mother's homes and cities like their sasural. Whenever trekkers come to the mountains for the trek, they feel very happy, forget their city for a few days, and enjoy the freedom, nature, peace, and culture of the Himalayas that they didn't get in the cities. They feel very sad when the trek ends and it is time to return to the city. But when they reached their sasural, she felt also happy, like a married girl, but still she (trekker) missed the mountain like a married girl misses her mother home in her sasural. And she plans every year to go to her mother's home, which is in the Himalayas.
