2 exercises to train your hamstrings➡️

Hamstrings are made up of 4 distinct muscles:
Semimembranosus, Semitendinosus, Bicep femoris (long head), Bicep femoris (short head).

The Hamstring muscle crosses 2 joints:
1. Knee Joint
2. Hip Joint

Hamstring Curls: Trains the hamstrings through knee flexion. This is important because the short head of bicep femoris (one of the 4 hamstrings muscles) only crosses the knee Joint. So this can be trained only via knee flexion.

Stiff Leg Deadlift: Trains the hamstrings(3 out of the 4 muscles) in the lengthened position through Hip Extension.

KEY POINT: More quads does not mean zero glutes and More glutes does not mean zero quads. You modify the movement to bias one muscle slightly more than the other.
