Aid India is happy to be associated with Project CAVACH initiated by NSE Foundation in partnership with NITI Aayog and UNICEF India as the Nodal Partner of Ramanathapuram District.
The CAVACH project focuses on a vaccine readiness program which will be rolled out in three phases namely Pre-Vaccination, Vaccination and Post Vaccination.
We are focusing on ramping up the process of awareness, registration, follow up, counselling and conducting of vaccination camps in rural areas.
The event was successfully launched on 15th July 2021.
We are glad to be part of this Vaccine Facilitation Drive and look forward to reaching out to the remote hamlets of Ramanathapuram and initiate a change in the pace of the vaccination process.

Eureka Tinkering Lab
After developing many innovative ideas in Tinkering Lab at Eureka Superkidz centres, children have developed a Power Generator for street light. As the tribal villages are far away from main stream area and less populated, street lights are not given importance by the electricity board. While adults at the village were following up the officials, children at our centre gave an idea to develop a higher version of bicycle dynamo. They connected a DC motor to a bicycle wheel rim, which got a handle to rotate the wheel. The power generated was stored in a 12 volt battery and connected to a 5 whatt DC bulb; a welded iron frame was prepared to hold these items. Children have to rotate the wheel crank for 5 minutes; it will generate current to light a DC bulb for 3 hours at street. Now, our Eureka centre also can get light during power cuts. Out of excitement children conducted a public meeting in village to share about their invention. As seen in the video a Eureka Super kid explaining the working of the power generator.

Eureka Learning Festival is about celebrating children's learning. After months of Eureka classes, children's learning levels are assessed. They're given certificates for skills they achieve. We rope in volunteers to help us in this massive effort. This year the Festival brought together 2000 volunteers from 30 institutions.
Here's a volunteer Ms.Dharshini from Alagappa Arts and science College, narrates her experience. The enthusiasm of the volunteers makes the event more memorable!

Eureka Learning Festival is a fun and festive event where the entire community in the village gathers to celebrate learning. Last week, the learning fest was conducted across the state, to celebrate skill achievement of children in the villages. The pride and joy felt by the parents was quite visible as they watched their child showcase their skills in front of the community.
In Vellore district, the event reached out to the larger community, 20 students from VIT and their professor Mr.Suresh conducted the learning fest, motivated and inspired the children in 5 villages.
Mr. Suresh shares his experience here...
Eureka Learning Festival celebrates learning and skill achievement. This year in Sembakkam, Thiruporur, the festival was conducted as part of Daan Utsav's Joy Of Giving. Students participated in the learning festival, earned skill tickets and redeemed those for prizes and gifts for their friends and family. The event was covered by six different media channels.

Have you heard of a 'Metric Mela'? It is a Mela/Fair celebrating Metrics! Yes, a festival dedicated to measurements. Volunteers who sign up for Skill Fest to assess children's learning levels set up a Mela in parallel, for parents to take part. Parents get to estimate and find out length, mass and capacity of everyday objects in a fun-filled way. Skill Fests will continue to be held in all our Eureka villages until Oct 21st.
Hundreds of volunteers are being trained to conduct these events that engage both the children and their parents, and celebrate their learning.
