Dear guests past, present and future. I’m Dr. Rajan Pradhan, owner of Pradhan Cottage Homestay. I was appalled to read a review by a guest Souvik Chaudhary which says you can come to our home stay if you want to die; an exaggeration, rude and outright lie which all of our former guests would concur.
Since we don’t stay there, we asked Andrew our care taker what it was all about. He said five people came last night, stayed in the cottage and asked him to book a taxi for 8am which he did but they were not ready even by 8am so the taxi left. The guests had gone out to get breakfast which Andrew would have made for them had they asked.
Andrew called another taxi which stopped a little above so as he had done last night, he and his helper carried their luggage for them. Since Andrew had to have his breakfast, he left so the guests carried their own luggage to the taxi which must have made them especially Souvik furious to prompt him to write the review.
Takeaways:-
1. When costs are divided, each guest pays ₹700
2. For that amount, where on earth will you get valet service?
3. Andrew is not a porter but a chef trained inJapan but out of his goodness of heart, he helps guests as much as he can; past guests will validate.
4. Pradhan Cottage homestay has earned its name for service, hygiene, friendliness, affordability; you name it.
5. Pradhan Cottage is not for riff raffs. We have lived there and our family consists of doctors, lawyers, IT professionals, MBA graduates and more.
Souvik Chaudhary doesn’t seem to know the difference between class and crass. He would be more at home in a seedy hotel room infested with bedbugs and other creatures of the night.
