Juda ka talab, is situated on the Sankri Range, after you climb 4 km and attain an elevation of of around 9000 ft above mean sea level, suddenly a tiny lake that's frozen during winters appears, on the gentle bowl shaped valley. During spring & summers you can see Himalayan birds flying over it. It's more like a marshy cup at the edges, which is kind of floating on the waters. Most of the trekkers reach here huffing & puffing , then they see the first glimpse of the snow clad peaks which, of course, makes the heart skip a beat, because of its sheer beauty! The jungle trail. Happiness is found swinging on a branch:) Kedarkanth Spring treks are full of vibrant colours with snow only on top. Most of us have known KEDARKHANTA as a winter trek but it has much more to explore, all around the year except for the rainy season. KEDARKHANTA has one particular peak to climb which can be approached from different routes. Each day an altitude of around 2000 ft above mean sea level is gained. Hence its a gradual increase. The summit is at an elevation of 12,500 ft above mean sea level. Forests of Oak, Rhododendron, birch are dense and welcoming with occasional sounds of birds in the canopy. The blue clear skies with the whitest clouds floating at noon is quite a contract to the orange hues during sunset. So is the pitch dark sky with a hundred million bright stars , gazing at humanity from, afar. Green Meadows with alpine flowers and the windy space makes the heart fonder of all that we imbibe through our optics. The crunchy dry leaves on the forest floor, especially while descending down has a special memory too.
