The story of Golden Commune
I am lucky that this universe has blessed me with the opportunity to meet people and invite a select few to experience a genre of hospitality that has literally been passed down to me by my parents. Golden Commune is my fathers’ dream come true. An expression of his creativity and large heartedness. He dreamt of a place where he could meet different people, enjoy fluid conversations, learn to grow and cook his food, live and share exciting moments with family and friends, go for walks, play a sport and never get tired of the view.
He had been nurturing this dream, to develop such a community home since he was all of 22. At a time and age when this was certainly beyond ambitious. While some may lament the time he took to materialise his dream, as a family we are proud and excited to have seen it realise in front of our eyes. He has done so over the course of a life with family, friends, joy, challenges, trials, learnings, setbacks, and love.
Golden Commune is a community. A community that in its endeavour is conscious of the environment and the need to build a sustainable life for the next generation. It is happy in its effort to grow its food, make its soil. In doing so we enjoy food from farm to table.
Golden Commune has an envious form. Never ending views, gorgeous sunrises to wake up to, a compelling landscape, comfortable rooms, hearty meals, super hand beaten coffee (its an Indian thing), loving dogs, a keen listening and sharing audience and of course lots to do (treks, badminton, table tennis, movie nights, barbecues(wintery surprise), gardening, dancing or just chilling).
