Located in Nubra Valley, Lchang Nang Retreat is a destination created for travelers in search of 🕊️ peace and tranquility. Combining comfort and simplicity, it pays homage to its local heritage via its links to the local community and the local culture.

☮️This Maitreya Buddha statue is located in Thiksey Monastery. It is 15 mts (49 ft) high and took over 4 years to craft.

🕯️According to Buddhist tradition, Maitreya is a bodhisattva (any person who is on the path towards Buddhahood) who is prophesied to appear on Earth, achieve complete enlightenment, and teach the pure dharma when the teachings of Gautama Buddha have completely decayed.

A mere hour's drive from the Taj Mahal, in the heart of the Chambal Valley, lies an oasis of
