Adrenaline junkies, listen up! Jumpin Heights has just launched their second bungee location in India and after Rishikesh, it is none other than North Goa! Enough reason, to lose all our cool and take that plunge? We think so.

Jumpin Heights, after having made a name for themselves for the 80m jump at Rishikesh, now together with the Goa government and the Goa Tourism Board have launched at Mayem lake, in Bicholim. The lake itself is set in a sleepy Goan village, and the slopes around it covered with thick forests and wild cashews, make for a beautiful setting for the bungee.

Se Cathedral is considered to be the largest church in Asia. It’s also one of Goa’s oldest and has been in service since 1640, though construction on the structure began almost a century before that.

Why go? It’s among Goa’s most serene and atmospheric cathedrals, with a plain white façade and seated atop stretches of well-maintained green lawns. The church had two towers when it was first built, and while one collapsed in 1776, the other is well known today for housing a large bell known as the Golden Bell.

The market in the town is a short uphill walk, 500 meters from the bus stop. A walk through the main market area could help you find a nice affordable place to stay in. The market has a range of wares, that the Tibetans have got from back home. Tiny pretty earrings of silver and stone, jewelled bracelets, neck pieces with pendants carved out of yak bone, and dream catchers made of colourful nylon threads, adorn the market streets. Many of the sellers have been compelled to sell family heirlooms like silver and brass-ware, spoons, keys and locks, forks and plates, to earn a living. Tibetans are warm people, with a ready smile on their faces. They are often seen deep in prayer, poring through their scriptures or rotating their prayer wheels while murmuring their prayers.
