The Kathmandu District Administration Office (DAO) as of April 5 has mandated that all travelers entering the district undergo an antigen test for COVID-19, with a positive antigen test result requiring a follow-on PCR test. Public spaces and services are now currently operating a restricted service in the Kathmandu valley to control outbreaks of COVID-19, and other districts may operate more restrictive models.
Lockdown restrictions to contain COVID-19 in Nepal are subject to change with little notice. Maintain social distancing, wear face masks in public, and adhere to limits on the size of public gatherings.
