Cant help but make it public that Grand Hotel vasant kunj new Delhi is worst ever hotel. Poor trade partner relation, unethical n illegal trade practices.

Such bad experience that we have to sue them in consumer court.

They asked for full advance payment and not allow any credit. This is understandable and we made full payment.

But once paid, you cannot get your money back.

We cancelled booking much before Cancellation time limit and we're entitled for full refund. But they refused to pay and asked us to adjust with future bookings. This means..

1. Indfinitely retain our money

2. Forcing us to use them again

3. Forcing us to sell their property to other clients whether they want to use Grand Hotel or not, just to adjust money

When hotel doesn't give any credit to travel agent even for a day, they have no right to hold money of travel agent for a day

First we requested them one mail and phone. They refused
Then we sent Legal notice.. No answer

Then we sued them in court but they remain absent from hearing

We are now informing ministries also

This should warn all travel agents and clients.

And if any guest has any issues with this hotel, may be they should also approach consumer court and trade organisations

We dont need to quit job or change professions. Just spare a day or two every month, lend helping hand to those organisations that need volunteers and make the difference.

I started volunteering in 1990 and have associated with:-

* Spastic Society Delhi
* Read books for fellow students with visual impairment during my college days
* Old Age home Neb sarai, Delhi
* National association for Blind, Delhi
* Missionaries of charity kolkata (oldage & shishu grih)
* as Scribe for students with visual impairment (as recent as thrice this month)
* Prayas Juvenile Aid childrens' home
* Instructed in Yog for Tihar Inmates

Together we can achieve social justice and empower others.

On this special day, i am building a community of Volunteers across India where people may freely join. We will share and you may also, about any volunteering opportunity for social cause (no commercialisation pls) in your city and members may volunteer as per interest and availability

Vienna a historical city which has seen it all. Occupation, bombing, changing hands from one ruler to another until finally it rose and shone under rule of a Queen who herself never wanted to reign but had no choice because she had no brothers.

This period is called Golden period of austria and flourished.

Over 1000 museums, city is really an open air museum of art, great architecture, beautiful palaces and churches and about 850 parks n gardens.

Beat that !!

This time in agra, i wanted to go to shoe factory but didnt have time. But went to see for the first time ever the marble and inlay work. Cant help but post few pics

2019, Allahabad Kumbh, One of the costliest ever as the created world's LARGEST temporal City, also received about 15 Million visitors on Day one of Holy Dip (shahi Snan).

I wonder if anything else in world evokes greater religious fervor than this

wow!! its almost a year since Cant forget my 45days long trip to Africa when I visited South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania & Kenya. Amazing country and some of the awe-inspiring sites comparable to nothing else, from CAPE OF GOOD HOPE to Namibian Desert, Hundreds of thousand Seals to an intimidating maze of Delta in Botswana, and from Enormous Victoria falls to cute Chimps tracking or the King of Jungle, Lions in Tanzania... Memories flooding my mind and I feel like packing my bag again for a long trip to some place new!

South Africa.. should feel like home, afterall british transported them centuries ago from india.

history says british couldnt make original africans to work in fams. but their bretheren ruling in india saw hardwork of indians. so they asked indian govt to send indians. of course indians had no choice n they were forced labor in africa.

as always, human spirit won n we merged, mingled, struggled, survived and succeeded.

CHADAR TREK, ladakh. One of the best in world i believe, bcoz of its challenge, lack of facilities along the way, short season frm jan to feb, cut out from the rest of the world, even its own neighboring villages, totally at mercy of nature and your own will power

Daunting, imposing and overwhelming surrounding. You are actually walking on the edge of your nerves, not just on edge of river, ensuring not to fall n hit rock hard stones of mountains on one side or into bone freezing cold water of zanskar river on the other side

It takes deep inner calm to walk steady when freezing wind accompanied by snowfall is blowing into your face above and under your feet is the glass like smooth n slippery icy surface of frozen water you cant trust even after a week of trekking the region.

You must dig your eyes on floor, taking every step carefully, not to mistake ice for snow n hit the ground on your bum or worse.... on your face

Forget about multi-tasking on chadar (walking, talking and clicking pic.. all togetger). You have to be specially trained to do so here.

And all this makes chadar trek most special trek for me.
