A relaxing afternoon walk in Lodhi Garden, New Delhi
Delhi is noted for its rich history. It has interesting historical monuments and beautiful green parks which are a premium tourist hub. Lodhi Garden is one such park. A delightful oasis in the heart of Delhi, Lodhi Garden is a perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate amid modern chaos.
Lodhi Garden has an interesting history. The garden dates back to the 15th century and is named after the Lodi dynasty that ruled over Delhi once. In fact, the garden is also home to the tombs of several rulers from the Lodhi dynasty that are architectural marvels too. These tombs are a fine example of the Indo-Islamic architecture and offer a glimpse into the glorious past of Delhi.
Spread across 90 acres, Lodhi Garden is a pretty heaven that offers respite from Delhiâs noisy streets. The place is home to expansive green lawns and blooming flower beds. A wide variety of old trees decorate the grounds of the garden. Visitors and residents living in the region come here for leisurely strolls, picnics, or morning walks. Some just sit and relax and unwind amid nature.
Thereâs also a dedicated Bonsai Park inside, which is a haven for bonsai enthusiasts. The park has a diverse collection of bonsai trees, which look absolutely impressive.

New guests arrival!
This is our new group of french guests. Coming to India has been their dream. Many of them never imagined that they will be able to realise their dream.
They shared their dream with us and we assured them that itâs not as difficult as they think even when they are in their 60âs and 70âs.
After talking and planning for months here they are!
They were very happy when they arrived. Some of them couldnât believe that they made it.
Itâs been 2 days on the tour already and excitement is still the same. India surprises and excites them every moment.

Happy Govardhan!
Today is the fourth day of Diwali. Itâs called Varshpratipada. In North India itâs called Govardhan Pooja.
People make hillocks made of cow dung in their homes and in the evening worship it by going around it. Govardhan is a hill which was lifted by Lord Krishna. Itâs a place near Mathura (Lord Krishnaâs birth place).
After the prayers families enjoy a feast of local delicacies together. Again every festival is a reason for good food, family and celebrations in India.

Happy Diwali!
Diwali is a festival of 5 days. Today itâs the main day. The whole country is lit with earthen lamps, candles, electric lights. People decorate their homes. Shops, offices are also lit. People spend these days with their families and loved ones.
In North India people welcome the home coming of Lord Ram and Sita after 14 days of exile. In other places name can be different and reasons can be different but the whole country celebrates these days.
These are also good times to experience festivals in India. If you are interested to witness the culture you should plan your travels to India during Diwali. Diwali falls in the months of October or November but dates are different every year.
