Your chance this summer, to get on the Horns of the Tons, an incredible river that flows in western Uttarakhand bordering Himachal.

This trip was first offered in a 1986 edition operated by Jack Morison of White Magic, California. In May 2005, Aquaterra Adventures operated the first rafting descent successfully on the entire Tons river since 1986 (and continues to be the only outfit running it!), almost a first descent as the river had changed considerably over 19 years.

On the Middle Tons between Lunagad and Tiuni, the river drops at an average rate of 32 feet per kilometer. This includes a drop of 78 feet/kilometer over the last three and a half kilometers before Tiuni. Amazing scenery, world class whitewater makes this a premier expedition for the white water paddler.

Welcome back, warriors! 🏔️ After battling it out in the wild for 15 unforgettable days trekking through the diverse landscapes of the Manaslu circuit, from lush subtropical forests to the towering peaks of the high Himalayas, our team has returned, recharged and inspired.

Yes, the days got longer and the slopes got treacherous, but reaching a maximum altitude of 5,135m at Larkya La Pass, we've been treated to timeless cultural experiences and breathtaking views of Mt. Manaslu, Himalchuli, Ngadi Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and Larke Himal, making it all worth the roughing out.

But the wonders didn't stop there. Along the way, we encountered rare and abundant wildlife, with Manaslu boasting 33 different species of mammals, 110 species of birds, and 211 species of butterflies.

A great shoutout to for being responsible for everyone's safety and the completion of this amazing adventure, from start to finish!

As we settle back into the rhythm of daily life, let's carry the spirit of adventure and the memories of Manaslu with us.

It's already May and we are counting down the days to one of the summer classics at Aquaterra - Dayara Bugyal. Literally “Tsum” means Vivid.
