Maharajas' Express is the latest luxury train to be introduced in India. Maharaja Express, dubbed as India's equivalent to the Orient Express of Europe, is owned by the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation. This Indian luxury train offers a royal ride and features state of the art amenities like Wi-Fi internet, Plasma TVs, DVD players and individual climate control. The train also hous
es 2 restaurants and a bar along with a high-end boutique where guest can buy mementos as a rememberance of one of the most luxurious rail journeys in the world. In total, Maharajas Express train can accommodate up to 88 passengers. The train is designed to transport the guests into a more gracious age of train traveling. Interiors suffused with nostalgia, state of the art amenities and tastefully crafted itinerary along with impeccable hospitality enables Maharaja Express to present India in a way never seen before. There are 2 dining cars named Rang Mahal (Color Palace) & Mayur Mahal (Peacock Restaurant). Seating capacity of both the restaurant is so that all passengers could be accommodated to dine together (but not in same restaurant). Then there is Safari Bar and Rajah Club where guests could enjoy their time at leisure over glass of wine and spirits. There is a souvenir shop too where guests could shop for mementos.
