Monumental with - a private guided tour of the city's two most important attractions.

Pix 1-5 are of the Cathedral, the third largest in Europe and having the largest altarpiece (pic 2). It also houses the grave of Christopher Columbus (3) as well as paintings by Esteban Murillo. I climbed up the Giralda Tower for a bird's eye view of the city (4).

Pix 6-10 of Real Alcazar or the royal palace. While the original palace was built in the early Middle Ages, it was revamped over centuries, resulting in a mix of architectural styles - from Mudejar to Renaissance. Inside, it is decorated with stunning ceramic tiles and has ornamental gardens.The Spanish royal family still lives here when they visit Seville, making the Alcazar the oldest royal palace in use in Europe. Also, parts of Game of Thrones was shot here!

Arrived in to 38°C, so I had lunch and got into the true Spanish spirit with an afternoon siesta!

In the evening, fortified with an iced espresso, I met my guide for an evening of flamenco and tapas. The Flamenco Dance Museum is the only one of its kind in the world, and I had the chance to see a fabulous hour-long performance (no photos or videos allowed). Later we went bar hopping for some delish tapas and drinks.
