Murudeshwar Maha Shiva Temple,

World's second tallest Siva statue shine in Murudeshwar - A beautiful combination of spirituality and seaside heaven.

The Murudeshwar town was earlier known as 'Mrideshwara'. It was later renamed as Murudeshwar after the construction of the Murudeshwar temple, among the must-visit places as part of Murudeshwar tour packages. According to the legend, Ravana brought the Atma Lingam from Mount Kailash. Lord Ganesha using his trick fooled Ravana on his way to Lanka and put down the Linga on the ground at Gokarna. Angered by this, Ravana tried to uproot and destroy the Linga. The broken pieces of the lingam were cast away. The covering cloth of the lingam fell at Kanduka Giri and the Murudeshwar temple was built at the site. Murudeswar can be visited along with Gokarna tour packages.

A worthwhile stopover for those taking the coastal route from Gokarna to Mangaluru, Murudeshwar is a beachside pilgrimage town. It’s most notable for its colossal seashore statue of Lord Shiva, which sits directly on the shore overlooking the Arabian Sea, making for spectacular photo ops. For the best views, take the lift 18 storeys to the top of the skyscraper-like Shri Murudeshwar temple.

COME AND UNFOLD THE MYSTERIES OF QUTUB MINAR
This is a world heritage site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi. This tower is 73 meters tall and has five storeys. If you opt for Delhi Darshan by bus then you will surely get the opportunity to see this Minar. The base diameter of this Minar is 14.3 meters. At the peak, the diameter is 2.7 meters. There is a spiral staircase and there are 379 stairs in this staircase. The style of this Minar is similar to that of Minaret of Jam in Afghanistan.

The lower three storeys have columns of pale red sandstone. These are separated by flanges and balconies. The fourth storey is made from marble and the fifth storey is of marble and sandstone. The Minar has a slight tilt but that is considered to be within safe limits. The Quwat ul Islam Mosque is at the foot of the Qutub Minar. The tower has been closed for the public after a stampede incident way back in the 1980’s.

Javari Temple, Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, India

The Javari Temple in Khajuraho, India, is a temple, which forms part of the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built between c. 975 and 1100 AD.

The temple is dedicated to the deity Shiva. The main idol of the temple is broken and headless.

The temple is located in the eastern area of Khajuraho. It is near to and visible from Vamana Temple, and at a distance of about 200 meters (south) from it.

It has well-proportioned architecture, with a sanctum, vestibule, mandapa and portico, but without pradakshinapatha. It has remable Makara Torana (Capricorn Arch) and shikhara (top). It has three bands of carved sculptures on the outer wall. The temple has a close resemblance with Chaturbhuja Temple, also at Khajuraho.
